Redman drops 3 gold albums back to back with a minimal amount of memorable songs on them "hey man red dropped 3 classics"
2pac drops a gold thuglife album with more memorable songs than any red album
"hey not so fast, that's just a regional classic buddy"
gtfoh
No one has said that Thuglife was a regional classic, it wasn't any type of classic. Of course Oakland cats might've been stans on another level, thereof, but nah.

A regional classic is something like Game Related by The Click or Word..life by OC, I don't even know if Soul on Ice was a regional classic or if it actually was even more significant in NY than it was in La.

i just was thinkin' bout this after watchin' his new vladtv interview
red's 1st 4 albums are all a combination of classic, brilliant, really great and real good
but a lot of times i don't see his name bought up when nikkas talk about their top 10 mcs
how come?
he got classic albums, he got classic songs and a 1 of the best catalogs in hip hop
what stops him from bein' in your top 10 if he ain't in it? :jbhmm:

Consistency mostly been a hardcore Red fan but his last few albums have been kinda lackluster. He deserves top 20 but top might be pushing...But my list has LL as top 6:yeshrug:

Em..big..nas..pac..jay...in that order ..lyrical skills only....:sas1::sas2:

What I love about Redman's first 3 albums is all they're all some of the best work of their respective year

Whut? Thee Album: AOTY (Pharcyde comes very close though)
Dare Iz a Darkside: 2nd AOTY (only behind Illmatic)
Muddy Waters: Top 10 AOTY (ATLiens, Ironman, Reasonable Doubt, Endtroducing, Hell on Earth make up my top 5)
lmao at whut, being better than the chronic (and other albums)
lmao and muddy and illmatic (2 flops) being the best albums of 1994,hilarious

As a matter of facts I don't even know why it would be a "regional classic", Pac was from NY moved out to the bay and he started the group with Stretch who was from NY, Syke from LA and who else was even relevant in that group?

It's trivial, but his beat selection. Can't rock with some of his stuff because it's sounds like a preschooler got a hold of a minimoog.

I didnt say they were a classic group. I said the album is a classic
So the real question is about the songs ,not who's relevant in the group

:dead:this made me laugh. I like Red, but honestly I do prefer the Thug Life album to any of his solo albums, really enjoyed his Blackout albums with Meth though,

I've heard the album 100 times, Pac is my favorite rapper.
I just can't associate myself with Pac stans, cause they are the corniest after Nas stans. The album was nice, had strong moments but it was unfocused, production was nothing special and the rest of the rappers were just good not classic levels.

Imo he has 4/5 classics, out of 5 albums. Outlaws and Thuglife, zero.
The general opinion is probably that he has 3 classics, while the two first are "merely" very dope albums and Thug Life nice but nothing special.

And btw it's 2016, we have streaming services no need to post all those youtube links :whew:

Never heard anyone else call it a classic, so I'm afraid to say that it's not. And this is Tupac we're talking about, the same duke that has fans that will risk their freedom to protect his honor.

As far as what is on the streets, Fetty Wap was on the streets in the whole world, even more than Thuglife, was it a classic? :martin:

My nikka i've never heard someone in my off the internet life call illmatic a classic, any red album a classic etc. so what you saying?
It's funny that the only albums that can flop yet still get heralded as bonafide classic are either east coast or albums that cater to a east coast sound.
And i see through the bullshyt.
I've also have never heard red was a great rapper from anyone
