I said they can still be equal to each other. They can still be equals. Just because she cooks & cleans, doesn't mean that she's weak and is going to let him walk all over her. She is not less than him because she stays at home while he makes all of the money for their family. If that arrangment works best for them, then that's great. (I'm not sure why I put that there because this thread isn't even about stay at home women, all he had in his post was that she cooked sometimes. I think I put it there because I was talking about
@Thomas ' wife)
I think you took what I said the wrong way, but to answer it your way, the work stops for her whenever she wants it to. No one is forcing her to stay at home and she can put off almost any work/chore for the the next day. If the kids are school aged, some families save lots of money when they do that because daycare is expensive. The man still has to be a father to his kids, they still all have to spend time together as a family. If the parents want to go out alone, the can hire a babysitter or leave the kids with family.
Stay at home moms do not spend all day with the kids if the kids are school aged. Even if the kids are school aged, they can still get time alone and with their husband. They also do not spend everyday cooking and cleaning. Do you know any stay at home moms/wives? The stay at home wives and moms who have school aged kids get done with housework early and spend the rest of the day doing whatever else they want until it's time for their kids/husband to come home. They don't have to cook everyday, people eat left overs. & they don't have to clean everyday, just straighten things up and wash dishes. Most clean the whole house once per week, just like most people, even the ones who work.
