I think are just being intentionally obtuse right now. If mark price wasn't getting laid out on a stretcher or not getting his why would curry. Either the collective consciousness of the Coli is retarded or people are just ignoring the really obvious intentions of the OP

Dude was 6'0 175 yet he was a 4 time all star in the 90's. One of you great basketball historians can break that down for me right? Dude wasn't close to Steph as far as talent goes yet he ate and was looking like Steph 1.0 in the 90's.

terrible logic all over this first post.
Mark P was that good, thats your answer. Oscar and other old heads never said small guys couldnt be good/great players see I.thomas. see spud webb, tyrone bogues, see john stockon(white buy, not huge, not super athletic). no one disrespects price or stockton, why not?

because the rules have become so soft, EVERYONE runing PG balls out even if they are mediocre. so that means guys that are actually really good. look like once upon a lifetime ultra mega legends.

The question the OP should be asking is this. If mark price was that good in the 90's. how good would he be with these laxed rules favoring guard play and all the analytics telling everyone to shoot the three with the ultimate green light, while adding 100's of picks to every play so you will never be guarded 1 on 1. yall would be calling mark price in 2016 the greatest white boy to ever lace em up.

If Mark Price is a top 20 pg of all time that should tell you how weak the talent level of the league has been throughout history :yeshrug:

Rose, Lowry, Teague, Parker, Conley, Lillard, Kyrie, Wall, Russ, CP3, Steph >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mark Price.

And that's not even including 00s PGs.

How the hell is Mark Price a top 20 PG of all time? :laff: :laff:

Parker, Russ, CP3 and Steph, yes. The others :laff:. And just so you know one of Price's best statistical years of his career was 1989-90 where he averaged 19.6 point, 9.1 assists, and shot 40% from 3. Point guards in the league at that time off the top of my head:

Magic
Zeke
Mark Jackson
Mo Cheeks
Tim Hardaway
Kevin Johnson
John Stockton
Dennis Johnson
Doc Rivers
Pooh Richardson
Mookie Blaylock

Not exactly a bunch of bums. Especially in the Eastern Conference.

By the way, I had no idea Dennis Johnson was from Compton and balled at Dominguez. :ohhh:

Mark Price played in the nba at a time when players actually knew how to play the game of basketball. It's crazy(well very sad) how in this era if an nba player has an ounce of fundamental skills and decent iq he dominates the surrounding competition who can't shake that aau foundation
I don't know how you read what I said but I wasn't dissing Price

Nobody was focus on the threes like that in the 90s but role players with no athletic ability like Dell Curry and nikkas like Nate James. Everyone at that time focus on all aspects of shooting.

You are completely changing the OP's question into a narrative that further supports YOUR OWN PERSONAL STANCE :mindblown:

Don't you see that flaw in what you just did :heh:

You aren't able to answer the OP's question straight up, because if you did it would destroy your argument :heh:

If the defense was so much tougher and better last year, why did Mark price have such great numbers?

You're right. Color shouldn't have shyt to do with it. The point stands that he was 6'0 175 and cooked on them tough ass Knicks and Pistons teams yet cats telling me Steph couldn't boogie on them nikkas.
As good as Mark Price was, he never won shyt individually or team wise. What exactly is the point here? That because Mark Price was good in the 90s the league sucked then?

Dudes like Mark Price and Chris Mullen... They were always there, but their roles were very limited back then.
Also, if 'Mark Price' was the face of your team... you weren't winning any championships. Thats just off the top.

In the 90s Steve Kerr was Steve Kerr.
If he played today Steve Kerr would be Reggie Miller.

Thats the difference.

I'm confused did I miss a thread where someone said Mark Price was on Steph Curry's level? Also what does his size have to do with anything ? John Stockton and Isiah Thomas ate in the 90'a also and they were small guards. Toughness has nothing to do with size

Yeah, ppl think John Stockton was soft cause he was a cac.
Dude was vicious out there... in his cuttoff shorts
