Nah that's prolly too quick
Aint no doubt he's as talented as anyone though when you consider he's producing, writing, arranging, all this shyt and how creative a lot of it is
Tyler can rap his ass off, his production is fantastic, he's innovative and inventive while also being able to kill some classic shyt with bars, and somehow adjusted his voice and made a hell of a singin album on IGOR :wow:

I'm ready for this heat :blessed:

I will say this: the production on Igor was some real next level shyt. That whole album aesthetic, sound, transitions, instrumentation, sonics, everything about the "sound" of that album was 10/10 to me. I'm not the biggest fan of his rapping all the time but the way that album is put together was fire to me

Tyler is still niche. It’s kinda like Griselda, the people that fukk with it REALLY fukk with it. But many people have never heard a song from em.

Every Tyler album is great to me. He’s currently my 2nd favorite hip hop act after Spitta and 2nd favorite producer behind P. I can understand why Tyler wouldn’t be ranked at all tho.

3 critically acclaimed albums, Lyricism, impact, sales, influence, started a movement, and he has no bad albums :yeshrug:
He definitely has bad albums :pachaha:
And lyrics ? Even Tyler admitted he wasn't a great rapper, that's the whole point of this next album to improve as a rapper & lyricist.

His concepts are cool though (Dr. TC, the horrorcore shyt, well shot videos etc.)

I don't even know how you made this thread on this forum, but as a Tyler fan, amongst people that care about top 10 rappers, he'll never finish top 10.

Amongst people that care about top 10 artists that rap, maybe you have a different situation. but unlike Kanye, the appeal of dude for over half a decade hasn't been on a rapping tip...it's like if you stretched the 808s - hip hop argument for an entire era. You wouldn't call Pharrell a top 10 rapper would you?

I’m as big of a Tyler fan as the next but he doesn’t take the rap art form as serious for me to take him seriously as a top 10 RAPPER

he even says he’s “not a rapper” and really wants to be a singer. and he often acts like he hates rappers/Rap/hip hop culture whether it’s being sarcastic or not I dunno

now if we’re talking just a creative individual in HIPHOP and impact he’s up there

considering clothing, directing, designing, rapping, writing, producing, trying to sing, performing, etc.... he’s one of the best and most successful

but I still think he’s too much a product of his own influences and that his major criticism especially from his OG fans
