Just word doc, I create an outline, build my chapters and fill in the blanks. It's difficult but slowly coming together.

current pilot i'm in the middle of writing is a show in which me and another man get into a car accident with each other but given the fact he doesn't have insurance the judge decrees that he must be my butler until his debt is paid
No offense, and I would watch, but that sounds very sus.
My show would be based on a Black Soldier and the adventures of his family as they travel around from post to post and country to country....
His wife would be a Teacher and his oldest teenager would be white washed with his daughter being a militant and then baby being mischievous with a bad attitude.
It would be a comedy with a lesson at the end of each episode....on some positive family shyt.

I started with a two paragraph story overview. Like the kind you'd find on the back of a book. Then I did...
- Characters - names, ages, physical traits, background, occupations, motivations, etc
- Settings - Only three major locations in the story but I describe these down to the smallest detail. Including sounds and smells.
- Technologies - a brief summary of the different futuristic technologies used throughout the story.
- Chapters / Story Flow

A show about a black wall street firm. Mad Men style writing. Deep layered drama. Typical main protagonist leader of the firm, his partner who's on the greed tip always blurring the lines of ethics, some office skanks who sleep with the married men trying to get the come up, a woman analyst who's doing her woman on wall st thing. Main antagonist is typical peckerwood firms who try to keep the black folks down.

Setting is the hardest for me because my place is set in a fictional metropolis so I have to build my architecture from scratch.
