I went for electrical engineering and I think I would've gone into mechanical or industrial versus electrical.

I probably would've done some more professional networking in the area and joined toastmasters.

I don't subscribe to the idea that unless you're in a STEM major, college is worthless. Seems elitist and flat out incorrect. Every STEM major isn't created equal either. People with a degree in petroleum engineering will have different or better prospects than a person with a degree in pure mathematics.

I would've started selling drugs after high school then used that money to buy/start a corner store in a hood... Snowball that onto buying a franchise after a couple of business night classes. Its what my cousins baby daddy did and he winning.

The feds tried to get him a couple of times be he legit now.

I would have gone for computer science or something along those lines, even though I enjoy what I do now (social work)

Ok, this is a good plan except instead of selling drugs how about doing a trade like welding, HVAC or something. Same results and you don't have to duck bars and bullets.

Would you stick with your major or go a different route?

I would throw English to the bushes for business of econ
You should have used "or".
Free lesson. No need to pay me. I don't know what school you went to but they didn't help your English.

Just kidding. I went for business management. Now that I look back, I should have taken Management Information Systems. After I graduated, the economy wasn't doing well, so I worked at the mall part-time as a salesperson in a retail store... :snoop:
Dude I knew who went to a technical school in HVAC ended up getting a job quickly with better pay. I felt like garbage. Fortunately, something opened up about a year later. I gave the store my two week notice when I quit, but this assistant manager in my department gave me this sarcastic good bye on my last week, like I owed them more time or something. :camby: I guess they did have to replace me... and he was going to have to rearrange the work schedule. Big deal.
I think I would have tried to do better in my grades. I just didn't do that well and I wasn't a party animal or anything like that.

I don't know if I'd say that about medical degrees or finance/accounting degrees. I myself was an Accounting major.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd do Robotics. I've always wanted to build a real life transformer since I was a kid. Plus, cybernetics is the future.

I should have followed my interest but instead I choose longevity and stability. I will always have a paycheck but I'm just not into this shyt. Accounting is boring. I really wish I would have followed my interests/passion.
Well, everything looks like the grass is greener on the other side. You would probably be engineering a robot arm that gets used in a factory to move something from one place to another. That's it. Not too exciting. Then, you would have been bored of that and wished to be an accountant.

 You're probably right.

Still I'm bored with Accounting and I'm not near retirement. I need a hobby. I think i'll starting writing science-fiction...another interest/passion of mine.
