highly plausible…last time I shared a “hotel” room with cousins it was like 4 of us…it was a small town and they were hosting an event…didn’t make reservations and everywhere was booked…we underestimated how many ppl would be in town…we rolled into town early in the morning but it was still dark so we just needed a place to get a quick rest…ended up in a seedy motel…place was so nasty we used our bookbags as pillows and slept on the floor with our coats and shyt on

I was the only one with a job at the time (the others were still in college) so I paid for the room but that was a situation where it wouldn’t have mattered how much money we had…booked is booked lol
