ID rather go 1/1 then 1/6 and contracts mean nothing,if ur a max player ur getting paid even if you never make a finals...
This only makes sense if you know the end result. You think Lebron is thinking he's going to lose the finals right now? That's why the question doesn't make sense.

does it?
I mean Cleveland is a shyt hole.

Miami wasn't really a top destination either.

but if you can consistently get wins you will get noticed which gets you endorsements.

Common denominator is LeBron who dont count in this because hes a generational talent...

Bron knew going into 2 of those finals he was going to lose,2007 and last year.

Looking at it from another angle, losing in the Finals must sting more than losing earlier in the playoffs. Like you're so close, but lose. And if your experience in the Finals is more about losing than winning, what are you gonna remember more? That one tilme you won or those 5 times you lost?

On the other hand if you go 1 for 1, well you've only known succes in the Finals, without all those losses on the biggest stage. And all in all you have the same amount of rings. No one cares about who's second.

rather be 1-6 than 1-1. what if you lose the first 5 and win the last one...:jbhmm:

what if you go 1-1 against a depleted team without their key players and people put an asterisk next to your title...:jbhmm:

what if your team loses in the finals and you still almost get the finals mvp...:jbhmm:

I'd rather go 6 straight times and win once myself. But I think some of you are writing off this question too easily. You go 6 times and win once, your legacy is always being questioned. But if you go 1-1, then atleast you're somewhat respected as a great player ala Dirk Nowitzki. I know he's actually 1-2 in the finals but my point still stands. We always tend to forget about that loss in 06. But look at how we pile on LBJ and question his legacy amongst the GOAT because of that dismal finals record.

1-6

I can go 1-6 and not give a shyt about anyone's opinion of my legacy, and if I'm LeBron (which is aim of the OP) I could care less because:

1. Y'all tune in every year to see me lose

2. only a few other players in the history of the game can actually fukk with me.
