It will, but the dude got a ring from this regardless. In the most technical sense, he's a Super Bowl-winning quarterback. That said, I'm sure he was legitimately happy for Foles and the crew, but he was caught on camera saying, "That's me next year." He's human. I can't blame him for feeling some type of way about it personally.
Don't forget, Wentz was on his way to winning MVP of the season before he got hurt. That tells you all you need to know about how he feels. He's going to come away from it motivated as fukk, and while Foles was lights out when he had to be, what this game says is that Philly's whole TEAM is constructed and capable of winning championships.
Wentz goes into next year knowing that all he has to do is his job, and there's no reason why Philly can't pull this shyt off again.
All of this goes away if Philly wins a Super Bowl and Wentz is the one who starts and finishes the game. Ideally, he's got a decade to pull that off.
Wentz doesnt have a decade. He has 1-2 years to do it before Philly fans start regretting trading Foles. 3 years tops. If I’m Lurie, I’d let the two duke it out in training camp and then trade the loser for defensive players and picks. People don’t seem to get that the pressure is on Wentz right now to either win a Super Bowl or be considered a failure. That’s a lot of pressure. He might not live up to it.

Oh there should be interest. I’m not trying to cast any shade on the man. I’m just startled someone thinks he’s worth a top 10 pick. You out of your rabbit mind for that one. This man was on the verge of retirement.I think it's time to hang up the "it's just Nick Foles" talk. He just performed on the two biggest stages and looked like an elite QB out there. I'd bet a few teams who need a QB would be willing to deal for him knowing Wentz is the Eaglea starter.

Ideally a top 10 pic IMO, realistically a 1st rounder.Oh there should be interest. I’m not trying to cast any shade on the man. I’m just startled someone thinks he’s worth a top 10 pick. You out of your rabbit mind for that one. This man was on the verge of retirement.![]()
Dead ass. These types of questions make me wonder if some of y'all ever played a sport before in your life.
Why would Wentz be salty? It's a team sport. If you go down you cheer for your boys. Ain't no feeling sorry if your team won the super bowl.
I get it, strike while the oil is hot and it’ll never be hotter for Foles. I just don’t know of any QB-needy team who would be willing to invest that much in the man. For example, my Broncos pick 5. Ain’t no way in the world they did all that losing for Elwa to giftwrap their first-rounder to the Eagles for Nick fukking Foles. I just don’t see it.Ideally a top 10 pic IMO, realistically a 1st rounder.
His career and legacy have been reinvented. His value is sky high right now. A team in need of a QB who won't have a chance at a top 3 pick might be willing to entertain it...that would put him in the 7-10 range to start the talks.
This was different though. The experience of winning the sb is priceless. The eagles as a franchise have been a joke, Wentz was gonna win MVP before his injury got them to 1st place. It's not like he got benched or something injuries are out of your control and he's guaranteed to be the starter going forward and he's super young. Not only that but the guy that went in for him is a likeable dude. They had injuries all year and had a underdog mentality. Winning the Superbowl vindicated everybody. You gotta be one shytty person to feel some type of way about your team and city winning this Superbowl
