You keep Wentz....its not even a question. People already forgot Foles' 27-2 season? He can be great in spurts but he's not a long term solution. Trade him while he's hot and you can get him back again for peanuts in 2-3 years :pachaha:

It will, but the dude got a ring from this regardless. In the most technical sense, he's a Super Bowl-winning quarterback. That said, I'm sure he was legitimately happy for Foles and the crew, but he was caught on camera saying, "That's me next year." He's human. I can't blame him for feeling some type of way about it personally.

Don't forget, Wentz was on his way to winning MVP of the season before he got hurt. That tells you all you need to know about how he feels. He's going to come away from it motivated as fukk, and while Foles was lights out when he had to be, what this game says is that Philly's whole TEAM is constructed and capable of winning championships.

Wentz goes into next year knowing that all he has to do is his job, and there's no reason why Philly can't pull this shyt off again.

All of this goes away if Philly wins a Super Bowl and Wentz is the one who starts and finishes the game. Ideally, he's got a decade to pull that off.

Wentz doesnt have a decade. He has 1-2 years to do it before Philly fans start regretting trading Foles. 3 years tops. If I’m Lurie, I’d let the two duke it out in training camp and then trade the loser for defensive players and picks. People don’t seem to get that the pressure is on Wentz right now to either win a Super Bowl or be considered a failure. That’s a lot of pressure. He might not live up to it.

I said ideally he has a decade though, breh, as in best-case scenario. In reality? The dude ain't promised tomorrow, let alone a year or two.

And honestly, I don't think there's that much pressure on Wentz in the short term. In year two, he was making the leap. He was ascending to that next level of QBs, and the team itself became a convincing No. 1 seed along the way. All signs pointed toward a Lombardi or two in Philly's immediate future. One could have assumed that with the way Wentz had Philly rolling, they would have ran over the NFC playoffs and took out whoever repped the AFC in the Super Bowl.

Now, we have to see if Wentz comes back right from the ACL and how long Philly can keep its current group together. Unlike most Super Bowl winning teams, as well-rounded as Philly was we saw that they still had holes. They might could use another WR on the outside to let Nelson eat in the slot and Alshon jumpball nikkas to death. They could use a CB (as good as Philly's defense is, it is based around their pass rush getting home. It didn't for much of last night and the defense got sliced apart in the air). I'd like to believe that Philly can only get better, as the most devastating loss they could suffer is losing their backup QB, who admittedly killed shyt this past month or so and legit has tools, but hasn't really found consistent success outside of an Eagles uniform during his career.

But let's be honest, Philly ain't worried about nothing at this moment and this one Super Bowl win doesn't change that HISTORICALLY, that team/city is accustomed to soul-crushing failure.

I agree with you.

And i am actually a Wentz fan.

With all that being said, making and winning an SB is hard as hell and can never be taken as a given in the future.

I hope he gets one on the field one day cause he def put the team in position to get this one.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
I think it's time to hang up the "it's just Nick Foles" talk. He just performed on the two biggest stages and looked like an elite QB out there. I'd bet a few teams who need a QB would be willing to deal for him knowing Wentz is the Eaglea starter.
Oh there should be interest. I’m not trying to cast any shade on the man. I’m just startled someone thinks he’s worth a top 10 pick. You out of your rabbit mind for that one. This man was on the verge of retirement.:wow:

Ideally a top 10 pic IMO, realistically a 1st rounder.

His career and legacy have been reinvented. His value is sky high right now. A team in need of a QB who won't have a chance at a top 3 pick might be willing to entertain it...that would put him in the 7-10 range to start the talks.

Dead ass. These types of questions make me wonder if some of y'all ever played a sport before in your life.

Why would Wentz be salty? It's a team sport. If you go down you cheer for your boys. Ain't no feeling sorry if your team won the super bowl.

Yea but some players have egos

If Wentz never wins a SB as a starting QB, it will haunt him

Also got to look at it as your team may never be as hungry as they were.

Some teams are going to offer assets for the next 2-3 seasons for either QB, even though Pederson is the common denominator.

Got to also look at other aspects: Jags and the Rams are also young and already looking like they're going to be with the best of them. Those teams will get better. The road to the SB is not going to get any easier for Philly. In order to win those things all types of circumstances must fall into place.

I get it, strike while the oil is hot and it’ll never be hotter for Foles. I just don’t know of any QB-needy team who would be willing to invest that much in the man. For example, my Broncos pick 5. Ain’t no way in the world they did all that losing for Elwa to giftwrap their first-rounder to the Eagles for Nick fukking Foles. I just don’t see it.

Wentz doesn't seem like the jealous type. Also given how on fire he was before the injury...I don't think it's crazy to say they would have won with him if he wasn't injured too. Assuming the team can come back in tact I see no reason they couldn't at least get to the conference title game again. Usually SB winners are burned out the next season but given that Wentz will be coming back healthy it'll probably have a positive influence on their chances.

This was different though. The experience of winning the sb is priceless. The eagles as a franchise have been a joke, Wentz was gonna win MVP before his injury got them to 1st place. It's not like he got benched or something injuries are out of your control and he's guaranteed to be the starter going forward and he's super young. Not only that but the guy that went in for him is a likeable dude. They had injuries all year and had a underdog mentality. Winning the Superbowl vindicated everybody. You gotta be one shytty person to feel some type of way about your team and city winning this Superbowl
