Illimatic's influence on Pac

Dream Hampton said when illmatic dropped Pac was bumping that shyt everywhere he went. He was working on Thug Life vol.1 at the time, and you can see he stepped his pen game up considerably on that album and especially me against the world. Illmatic changed the whole game, but it's interesting to see the influence on Pac individually.

Pac loved that album..Memory Lane was his shyt! Even when they had their little beef towards the end of Pac's life..he was always listenin to Nas.

I remember Nas telling a story about Pac always screaming the “ill wait for god with the 4 4” line at him

I would say hanging around Big Stretch was a huge influence. That’s where he really started adding that aggression to his voice that stretch had.

Illmatic was possibly influenced by 2pacalypse Now. Both are more influenced by Ice Cube than they were each other.

Different. Cause Nas till this day never said that Pharoah Monch influenced that song and actually flat out denied it. The Outlaws literally came out and said Pac was directly influenced by Nas to make the song.
