illmatic lyrically was leaps above alot albums that came out during the span of of it's time period imo
so i give illmaitc the nod.

What gets more play? Doggystyle by a factor of a 1000, it's the perfect album
I'm on the West Coast so maybe I'm biased, but at 7 years old, you couldn't escape that Snoop album 
it seems like the early 90s Snoop was everywhere, Nuthin but a G Thang (not on the album I know
) was huge, What's My name, Gin n Juice, etc.
I gotta go with Doggystyle for those reasons

had presidents from other countries saying "with my mind on my money and my money on my mind"
my personal preference is nas, but i would be flat out hating by not saying snoop. nas shook the east up, snoop shook the world up.
