Negativity (Kayfabe)
any suggestions. I dont really wany no harry potter type shyt, not even no 48 laws shyt. just something i can relate to with a good non cliche story

Black Like Me by John Howard Griffin - One of best non-fictions I've ever read, not assigned in school

Basiacally, the true story of a white man, who physically becomes black, in the 50's South. It's short, too.

Honestly... If you've never read a book... You should really start with children's books and go through ALL the classics... Reading is enjoyable and you don't want to miss out on some classic material

Berenstain Bears series, Dr Seuss Books(Lorax, Cat and the Hat, One Fish two fish, How the Grinch Stole christmas), Goodnight Moon, Where the Wild things are, Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, Charlotte's Web... I am not even trying to clown, I still own these books and plan on reading them to my kids some day...

and then work your way up through the classics like, Alice in Wonderland, Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, War of the Worlds, Catcher and the Rye, Death of a Salesman, Dante's Inferno, Of Mice and Men, The Giver, Siddhartha, The Great Gatsby, A Brave new world, A Clockwork Orange, Catch 22, Fahrenheit 451, Animal Farm, One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest, On The Road, The things they carried, Heart of Darkness, etc...

Also Read some books to give you some knowledge of self like Kaffir Boy, What is the what, Miseducation of the negro, Souls of Black folks, Autobiography of Malcolm X, Life on death row by Mumia Abu Jamal, Revolutionary Suicide by Huey P Newton, Memoirs of Sidney Poitier...

AND THEN move on to some other stuff, shyt most of the movies that come out nowadays are based off of books...

Do you like the Godfather films? Well go and look up some Mario Puzo novels

Did you like the movie Fight Club? Check out Chuck Palahniuk novels

Or my personal favorite writer Bret Easton Ellis who wrote "American Psycho"...

Good luck, and have fun, reading is one of the most enjoyable past-times on earth...
