Position: Dev - 2 :wow:
Degree: Business Administration in Computer Information Systems...not even Computer science...:wow:
Graduated: spring 2015
Georgia State

Just a couple of his positions points he put on his resume..
· Worked for local businesses and schools to provide them with a unique online branding where there wasn’t one

· Worked with other designers and developers on various projects

:wow:

This nikka asking for 120k...and I know for a fact I will have to hold his hand for months to develop at our level...:wow:

Just a lil fyi brehs....i bring all this up because as of the hiring of the last "lead dev" that washed out after 3 months of work because he got exposed.....all new nikkas on our portfolio have to come through me because I warned management about dude that washed out after they hired him without my knowledge. It took me a week to see he was an impostor and they paid dude big boy $ for 3 months and he didnt do shyt....AND he had 10 years experience..:wow:
So u a professional hater

That's nothing unusual.......Working with the government I've seen people make $$$ without actually doing work. It's amazing how people get on and don't get fired for not contributing, just moved around. Complexion for the protection helps also.

I have been a military contractor and I have seen that first hand with govt workers. with years under their belt...

Not here breh....very easily can get exposed because the teams are small and you have direct contact with the client...so even they can smell blood after a lil while....and your integrity comes in question when you bring people on with crazy salaries and cant do the work..just ask my former manager who hired the last guy who dug a whole for himself...and was "forced" to resign

No....just a professional.

We hired a breh from NC state 2 weeks ago...he ended up going with a different team...and his manager emailed me saying dude hit the ground running

His resume look like a college professor compared to breh asking for 120k and 1 year of work experience...;mjlol:

#1 position, salary range ?

#2 behavioral interview ... ?

#3 sounds like he has limited experience so why even interview him in the first place ?

Because Dev-1's-2 we dont really take that serious when it come to salary requirements.

We have a range and based on how we feel at the interview we throw them back a # based off degree....level of experience and cultural fit....... 9/10 take it

Plus these guys are 3 month contract to hire so they are desperate in a sense.

Its all a gamble the first 3 months

:blessed:...yes brehs keep the rage coming....Im looking forward to runnin this young breh through coals for having the balls to ask for that with 1 year experience

Normally I go easy on Dev 1s...gonna have breh reconsider his career path when im done

:what: why? I could understand schooling him for what you thought was an application mistake but why the extra?

:what: why? I could understand schooling him for what you thought was an application mistake but why the extra?

Because if you ask for 120k With no experience behind it...it tells me you trying to run game.

That means I have to do the interview a way I normally would not for a person with that level of experience.....

At this point he's going to have to do data structures in front of me on the whiteboard so I can actually justify what dude even asking for...:wow:

So he put himself in a bad spot and not gonna even get with the 120k....:wow:

It took you till page #2 to give the position details. What city is this in? context matters
it's not unusual for FRESH GRADUATES to make $120k+ total comp in SF, NYC, or Boston

either way i'm confused why yall proceeded with the interview if yall don't want to pay what he's looking for. developer interviews take up valuable time of senior developers, architects, and project managers...why do that to yourself much less him
the other thing is....why would you hate for an inexperienced kid in your industry being overpaid? when it's a bubble or the market is favoring the talent then it's good for everyone to eat :martin:
I posted on here how i went being shocked at contractor salaries getting to 200k at my old job around 2011......now that's not unusual for full time roles with benefits and 401k and a lot of that is due to google/fb/palantir etc "overpaying" new developers the last couple of years. i ain't mad at all

yea I`m like why even interview him especially when I`m sure there are other candidates who applied and asked for more realistic numbers.

lol why are yall even entertaining this

OP is clearly in his feelings about this position......so he isnt looking to give any a reasonable shot

In fact he has clearly made a judgement beore he has conducted the interview

He could easily decline to do the interview and not waste the brother's time but he is clearly salivating at the chance for a mini chest thumping and ego massage
