Finishing CS soon and I wouldn't even ask for that much. This guy came with a weak resume and CIS degree asking for 6 figures, starting. Yeah, he is crazy.
And yet he apparently got the damn interview.
If you ask me, if a resume is weak, and the salary demands are too high, and he's not even as qualified on paper as the last dude before him who shat the bed, I'm not even sure how he got anywhere outside of the realm of bushery. Must've been a beast ass cover letter (which are fukking pointless in my mind

) or he knows the right people. Either way, something's not adding up.
Not that it matters that much anyway. In a world where more and more job applicants virtually have the same level of overqualification/experience, it generally comes down to who is liked best/the best interview. It's become clear this kid doesn't have much shot of getting past OP. I can see how this would be described as crab behavior, but if he's asking that much off the rip, it has to be cost of living related OR he considers himself some kind of prodigy and if it's the latter, then a hiring manager wouldn't be wrong to expect more from him than from any other candidate. Granted I don't know the going rate for that field.
Still, this seems to reek of "I didn't get paid that much when I started, so this nikka damn sure ain't gettin' it

"
As far as I'm concerned, though, you're wasting your time and his by interviewing him AT ALL.
