What's that ceiling and how is it hard to achieve that in that region where you are working? I know engineers and dentist/doctors etc who are achieving that in that region



There is nothing wrong with taking time off if you feel that will strengthen your health and regather your drive and focus. However understand that you can still travel, spend time with family and research investments and business ideals currently if you are motivated.

There are ceilings to all jobs unless you're a salesman. I'm not doctor. Very few ITs make over 120k and that's only if you're doing some serious developing or overseeing a huge project.

Most dudes in DC making 100k would be broke in less than 2 months if they lost their job. 100k will give you a nice home, car, good eating and vacations, but you're arent building anything. You still arent going retire early. I want to take a chance and start my own business. I can always come back and work for a CAC. I just rather be closer to my family.

Rule of thumb for buying a house is to buy something no more than 3x your pay... I dont even think you can by a condo in DC for 300-400K

I've got a few years hard work experience in the sciences...which is why I find it funny dudes are thinking i'm just some kid who has no real world experience
