It was like a decade ago I posted on here or SOHH that one of my main people was coaching a youth hoops travel team that Dame sponsored and he was coming out of pocket to take the kids to tourneys because Dame's checks kept bouncing. This dude been struggling and flodging for a long, long time.

I knew people who worked for his gallery on 60 Orchard Street. Other than openings, it never had people there, nobody ever went and bought art there. And it was closed most of the year.

This is retribution for inserting himself into the ODB situation. fukk a Dame Dash.

16 years later, I'm still trying to figure out why he signed ODB to Roc-A-Fella and what he was even supposed to do there.
They signed MOP and didn't even release an album on there...then went to G-Unit just to sit on the shelves with no album release at all.

There was an interview posted here years ago with someone who was tied to the industry. He said Dame was taking up front money instead of getting long term money through things like royalties, etc. He had no understanding of contracts either. He was basically using a hustlers mentality and never learned the business. He was getting offered low ball amounts and taking them. He probably left tens of millions on the table by not having
someone handle the paperwork and negotiate for him. He was getting fractions of what he should have gotten.
