-PC repair business: Did that for a few years after HS on a referral basis. Money was good and consistent, and all I really did was hand out business cards and often
times kill a virus(most people got them from Myspace plugins and porn)
I kinda left it behind cause pickings were getting slimmer, which is good cause Mobile started taking over and folks weren't calling for PCs as much. This was juuuuuust
before smartphones, so repairing shyt like Blackberries and Razr was not easy enough for me to switch.
-T Shirt business: Did great business just talking amongst friends and their friends, but when I went to reup (was taking T-shirts from Walgreens 4/10 and selling for $10 each),
the market about dried up. Everyone who wanted my tees had em, and the constant annoyance of trying to convince new people to buy wasn't worth it, especially when
folks said I was charging too much:rocky:
I've dabbled in other things I can't get into (not illegal) but just "opening a business" isn't that easy, nor a good idea. Folks have to have reasonable expectations that they can
claim a niche in a market or deliver a better existing product, both of which take a TON of time. Not everybody is built like that, and if you suck at business, your shyt won't
survive. Period.
