I'm half ADOS too from my moms side and Antiguan from my dads side. Although I was raised by both of my parents, so I grew up under both cultures, I was always closer to my moms side of the family(AA)

Do West Indians feel the same anger when passing sugar fields as we ADOS feel about cotton fields?

that makes me think. i was born here so whenever i hear the word cotton being used in a brazy way, i feel the same as an african american. i always knew it was sugarcane for us, but i never put two and two together to create that emotional reaction that prolly should be there.

its kinda like the plant is just a symbol for what we went thru, but yea, that made me think
