I agree never ever hold her feet to the fire. She’s fragile and deserved our vote.
Plus her infectious laugh was adorable.

Bmore stand up!
It ain’t the main reason but it adds on to it.

Are we not supposed to keep our foot on these politicians neck?

We supposed to keep going out and vote blindly and expect nothing in return?

These non black clowns always expect something from their votes, why black people can’t expect the same?

When they want shyt, it’s “well deserved”. When we want shyt, it’s fukking “handouts”.

I’m tired of this bullshyt ass system.

This doesn't help HBCUs. It actively harms them. This executive order removed Biden's HBCU initiative, which was actually tied to billions in direct investment, and replaces it with something far weaker, that offers zero in new funding, and will make them worse off. It just uses a bunch of flowery language to cover up for the fact that it gives HBCUs nothing concrete to work with. That lack of funding is supposed to be met by states via 1890 land-grant funding obligations, but there's no mechanism of enforcement, so you know how that's going to go down in Red states.

It also avoids mentioning how civil rights protections are directly tied to the success of HBCUs. And by eliminating "disparate impact" standards, it makes it harder to challenge policies that hurt Black students, even if they appear neutral on the surface. And by targeting "DEI" efforts in accreditation, it weakens the standards that help ensure that HBCUs and their students are treated fairly in higher education.

All this does is strip away rights, resources and protections, and you're in here celebrating it. Disgusting.

:mjlol: :mjlol: :mjlol: :mjlol: just allow open disrespect from "black" candidates that will do nothing for your group brehs...

I'm not going to sit here and say I'm going to do something that's only going to benefit Black people. No. Because whatever benefits that Black family will benefit that community and society as a whole and the country

This is what she said. And it's not in any way disrespectful. She was emphasizing that her approach to policy is to address systemic inequities in a way that uplifts everyone, including but not limited to Black Americans. She wasn't saying she wouldn't help Black people; rather, she was saying she supports policies that tackle structural racism and economic disparities broadly, which, because of how racism and inequality work in this country, would significantly benefit Black communities *alongside* other marginalized groups.

This approach aligns with legal and political constraints in this country, like the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment, which makes explicitly race-based policies impossible to implement. What she was conveying was that policy solutions must be framed in race-neutral terms, even when they aim to address racial disparities. Look at how Republicans sued to block relief that was specific to Black farmers. Look at how Edward Blum, Stephen Miller and Trump are exploiting the Equal Protection Clause to dismantle any and ALL institutions, programs, support that aims to help Black people. It's time for you to grown up and stop treating everything like it's a joke.
