Dumb fukk, Dirk didn't take actually take a pay cut, but he was willing too if Dallas could sign a few of the major free agents available, it's not Nowitzki's fault no one was checking for the Mavericks.

Why can't the Lakers sign anyone to deals more than the minimum? Cause Kobe's salary is HALF the salary cap and you can't do shid with one player eating up that much room.

You nikkas talk about the franchise generating revenue. YES, they generate it and lots of it. They have a TV deal and all that. So what? The fact of the matter is you need quality to win and quality comes at a price that is above minimum salary 2nd round picks and journey men to win.

Duncan took a pay cut from $21 million to $10 million. KG did the same thing last summer too.

If Bryant really wants #6 , he should realize the need to put his money where his mouth is and sacrifice for the betterment of the organization to put pieces around him. It really is that simple.

Kobe definitely is entitled to maximize his earning potential. Only a handful of guys stay in the NBA doing post-retirement stuff and at a fraction of what they made as players. However though, you cant take up more then half of your teams cap and expect to contend.
