The city needs bus drivers bad, they are starting to get desperate which means that pay is going up. Apparently next year is “new contract year” as well.


I’m a delivery driver for FDX and today I got approached by a bus driver about applying for the job. This the 3rd time this month a bus driver as asked me.

Lol what y’all know about this career? Any funny public transit stories?


Side note: NY seems like the only only city where I see the bus driver get no respect, which is wierd because their city is damn near dependent on public transportation running. I don’t live in NY tho

Great benefits , my great uncle is a retired toronto ttc bus driver. We all came up in the hood (driftwood) and now hes kicked up lavish with a multi million dollar home. DONT SLEEP.

Depends on the city and the route because when my License was suspended I had to ride the Charlotte bus with these animals and the bus drivers used to catch all kinds of hell

That’s definitely a fact. I’m hip to the game too.


I’m sure they are going to make New hires pay dues and drive the HELL Bus.

I’ve seen the night bus line that rides through the projects on my side of town and I can tell it was buck wild

First time I’ve ever seen somebody hit a crack pipe was at a bus stop on a street corner I should not have been standing at

Keep in mind the only bad thing about being a bus driver is you have to work weekends, holidays and odd hours until you get enough seniority to pick a run with weekends off. Underground a lot of newbies are quitting for that reason alone...

The bus drivers here in MA get paid extremely well. They especially make a killing in overtime. You have to pay dues for a couple yrs but in the long run it’s worth it.
