I'm Sorry - Randy Moss is the best I have ever seen, and it's not close.

Rice is considered the GOAT football player because he is so clearly the greatest at his position, where so many other greats are debated to be the top guy, and Rice is consensus no debate

It IS a debate tho. So using your logic. Derrick Thomas, lawrence Taylor or Michael Strayhan are the greatest football players ever since they were the best at their position.

Emmitt Smith or Barry sanders are the greatest football players of all time too right?

It's similar to saying that MJ is the GOAT but based on who you saw play from start to finish, Kobe might get the nod. Doesn't mean Kobe is the all-time GOAT, just the best you ever saw do it.

But no, Rice is the GOAT WR. Megatron might challenge that later, but given the era he plays in, his claim won't be as legitimate.

No denying that Moss should have taken that crown from Rice, though.

:patrice: Then nikkas need to come up with another acronym and stop disrespecting history.

It's only a debate with a bunch of children on the internet.

Jerry is hands down the GOAT WR, you won't find many people outside of a screen name who`ll oppose that

soo we gone act like this guy isn't playing right now

and i'm a randy moss stan but his years in oakland and tenn and even with the 49ers were :manny:

bruh, ive hoped people corrected you over the past 13 pages, but Megatron is a good WR but plays in a pass friendly league.

1. Jerry Rice
2. Moss
3. Owens

4. you can pick whoever you want here.

top 3 is locked and sealed...If someone wanna put Owens as #2 and Moss as #3, I aint even mad at em..

edit: im worried bout the players us older heads saw play, getting removed from these youngins top lists because of rule changes in the nba/nfl :sadcam:

Megatron is a good WR, but lets not ignore his QB who is mediocre threw for 5000 yards as well. We cant sit here and act like that same QB woulda thrown for maybe 2500 in the 90s and also effecting Megatron's stats as well.. You got multiple QB's throwing up 5000 yards a season now.. someone HAS to catch that.. Before even 3500-4000 yards was RARE. Now you got AVERAGE ass QBs getting 3500 yards.

Rules change, doesnt mean a player abusing these new rules in this flag football league are better than Ross or Owens.

Dont forget that

pass happy? umm bruh the 49ers were the originators of the run and gun, west coast offense the fukk you mean? and jerry rice was the only option for his qbs his #2 were ehh at best an that includes jon taylor hell moss played in pass friendly offenses especially the year brady broke the record lets not forget the "chuck it deep dog" years in minny t.o. didn't really have a running game when he was in philly jerry is the goat hands down but op made it seem like no other reciever could compare to moss and thats not true. we're talking bout 2 hof that have played their time, give megatron time to play his career he stays healthy he destroys records hands down.

the way ya'll(49ers) offense was ran it changed the league, lets be real once ya'll spread people out it was over and that paved the way for t.o. and randy both to play in a pass friendly league

:whoa: Scott Mitchell threw for 4000 yds in the 90's let's not go too far in the other direction breh. I agree with your overall point and it applies to all positions on offense save RB. RBs going forward are actually gonna be the ones at the disadvantage.

I don't think people realize just how trash of a QB Daunte Culpepper was.... Randy was putting up HOF numbers, with fukking Daunte Culpepper as his QB.

you give Randy Moss a fukking Jon Kitna, and those Minnesota numbers are far better

On the flip side people on here are acting like Jerry Rice's success was due to playing with Young and Montana, when at 40 years old Rice was putting up Pro Bowl numbers without a HOF QB. Rice would of had excellent numbers and been great regardless of the team. His work ethic, and heart would of made that happen.

at 40 years old, Jerry Rice had Rich Gannon...... the NFL MVP
