I'd never buy tickets to a bytch ass NBA game.

If I did and LeBron decided not to play, and made me cry, I'm makin sure I get seats by the tunnel so I can pour my drink on the floor and he injured himself and that way, he'll get to miss games for real.

But unlike y'all, I actually know LeBron:umad:

He gives me head(s) up when he plans on sittin' out

I'm a bron stan but there is no logical explanation for FANS to accept healthy scratches
i'm not about to sit here and argue for an inferior product just cause a player i like advocates for something that benefits him and his pockets/longevity
injuries are a part of the game and can occur whether you take rest days or not
these rest days can benefit a player longevity perhaps but really i'm not pressed for these dudes playing into their late 30s. like i can do without vince carter and richard jefferson playing taking minutes from the development of younger players

I agree jordan wasn't trying to sit out but the game is approached different now. If they took that mentality then his knees probably would have had less milage when he came back that second time. I get what everyone is saying but I the lebron hate is often times irrational.

Jordan was in his mid 30s breh, still giving cats the business.

Like someone said earlier, Popovich started this p*ssy trend of "resting players". If you want to rest players, cancel or have light/reduced practices.

See the thing is with this new hot take culture of today, we have the bad habit of complaining or overly critiquing the game played by athletes. But I get both sides of the argument since I grew up in the 80's area of basketball. I understand the desire for players, especially superstars to play every game they're physically able to do. Last night Cavs vs Clippers game is one of if not the worst basketball game I've ever seen, so I totally understand situations like that bringing down the overall "product" of the NBA.

The real problem is, for every Lebron, MJ, TTop the vast majority of NBA players don't have that kinda of durability so I get behind protocols like Pop and the Spurs use. Today's athletic performance and health technology gives a greater and wider appreciation of just how increased workloads and B2B's increase cumulative fatigue that greatly increases injury probability. Now is the time for the NBA to shorten/extend the regular seasons to end B2B's and long legs of road trips of 5 games in 7 days etc. That would go a long way to increasing the overall product and protect players.

There really needed to be an in depth look after the 2011-12 season got so compacted by the lockout even after losing 16 games. Teams were actively sitting healthy guys on the third night of back to back to back games or the a pair of the 4 games in 5 night sets and everyone understood that the rest was needed. The last thing we need is guys going out there and getting hurt because their coaches run them into the ground. A game here or there doesn't mean much in an 82 game season.

and he had to because unlike LeBron he CARRIED his team each year to the Finals...didnt have to run to Miami and join Super Teams...
LeBron didn't have the privilege of playing with Shaq, and having an organization that made moves such as acquiring a Pau Gasol. Kobe stans dumb as hell. I bet you wanted LeBron to stay on his one man Cleveland team so he could lose to a Super Team Boston squad every year.

This is the answer really. The majority of people wanted him to stay so that he would never have a chance to stack up rings because the cavaliers are awful so people could leave him out of their all time lists. Everyone who hated him leaving for the Heat have no explanation on why he should've stayed except that Mike spent all that time in Chicago even though free agency didn't exist until he was one year into an 8 year deal and that Kobe stayed only because the Lakers wouldn't give in to his trade demands and got Pau for nothing. Nothing about why that team was suddenly going to be good enough to win. Byron Scott was hired as coach and Mo Williams was the second best player. That means if the cavaliers played the bulls in the 2011 playoffs, James' best teammate would've been maybe the 5th or 6th best player in the series. If they played the Heat with Wade and Bosh and presumably they'd have grabbed someone else, mo would've been the 4th or 5th best player in the series. If they played Boston, mo is at best the 6th best player in that series. They also would've been outmatched at coach in all those matchups too.

Lebron had the privilege of playing in the terrible East & creating superteams every year.

His cheap rings in Miami, the 4th Quarter Meltdowns & having Kyrie take over in Cleveland is reason why he's not heralded by fans... lots of "Buts" in Lebron's legacy

Meanwhile you picked Lebron to lose all those series against chicago, boston and indiana, so how weak was the east? The East was worse in the 90s too, go dock MJ as well for it

Those lakers teams between 2004-2007 was horrible before pau got there. Those lakers teams after 2010 was collapsing too.
Lebrons Cleveland was doing better than the lakers at one point.

MJ carried those teams huh? Let's not get into the never finished over .500 without Scottie and the Bulls winning 57 games in 1994, Kay?

While ita understandable that LeBron at his age would sit out games, I do think this rest mentality, especially for big games, is cheating the fans. I mean at the end of the day, viewership and attendance is what allows players and staff to have their enormous contracts, and sitting marquee players out of games that we have circled on the calendars is alienating
