For all you cats who don't get it, this is why he is "The Greatest". For the record, he was crucified then. He risked his career and life for principal. It's a reason people call some sellouts. It's because they will compromise all integrity for material gain. Bu bu but It's about my brand. fukk that. If not for cats like Ali and those before him standing on principal our asses might still be on the back of the bus, if allowed on the bus at all. But keep worshiping these modern black athletes, who in may cases are so wealthy they really could say whatever but don't. I'll let the c00ns cook though with their colonized mind logic.
Just in recent memory when drose and Lebron wore those I can't breathe shirts. I don't remember any black people taking offense to it. The only opposition to it that I found was white people talking bout they are so ignorant and keep politics out of my sports. Usual white people rhetoric.

I honestly do believe black people today will support an athlete talking that real but maybe I'm just a dreamer.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
It's hard to compare these eras. Vietnam and the civil rights movement made things very different from today. Ali risked more but more was at risk, in general.

Today there is less risk. I really don't think LeBron would have risked much by saying something about Tamir Rice. He spoke up about Trayvon and nothing happened. Obviously he could go too far if he talked about white supremecy too much but I think there's plenty of room for athletes to talk about shyt today.

The problem today is that people are conditioned to dismiss athletes and entertainers. There's a constantly level of disdain and the "stop telling me what to think" mentality. And I don't think athletes help themselves because many aren't involved in the community. You don't see these guys unless it's a corporate endorsed charity event. Ali was using his money to directly help black causes. I won't dismiss LeBron's work in charity and education but him being bigger than life hurts. He writes a check, a story is printed in ESPN, and that's that. People want to see you, touch you, etc.

Lebron is a c00n. He went back to play for that owner after that subliminal racist open letter he sent out to the public. Then instead of mentoring Wiggins he lobbied for an unproven winner in Kevin Love. He has no backbone. Today's pro player is cotton soft.

And he threw cold fries at someone once. When will the c00nery stop?

He's not entirely wrong. Floyd is about that paper first and everything else comes after. He has become more outspoken on behalf of black fighters during his retirement tho. Props to him on that.

When has Floyd ever not been out spoken about racism lol

biggest problem with black people is you think stating the obvious in public is some kind of victory

all he did was state some shyt everybody including those white people know is true, what did it accomplish nothing

Floyd has always faced a backlash without even making statements

because he outsmarted the white man at his own game and called the shots, that is the biggest accomplishment of any athlete in history period
and that example along is worth a thousand words

actions speak louder than words

Most of Floyds backlash stems from his fighting style and domestic abuse issues. He never stood for anything outside of boxing.

Look cotdamnit, I'm not about to get into some Floydie stan shyt with you. All I know is since his retirement he's been more outspoken about race in boxing and that's a good thing.

I could be a real ass :troll: and dismiss him by saying he's just piggy-backing off of what SOG said a few months ago about racism and how the boxing public wants him to move up to fight KKK but no one is coming down on GGG for not coming up to fight him. But I aint gone do that. :sas2:

Even when Floyd is knocking people he faced backlash

Floyd was already a pound for pound great before you even heard of him

compare floyd in his 30's to any other fighter and he is way more exciting lol, only floyd is judged as an old man in boxing lmao this proof

floyd has had fights where the entire venue was on it's feet

you are just proof of the media narrative that has been crafted t

it wasn't until Floyd left bob arum when the media assault was in full effect

the same people who talk down on floyd's fighting style big up pernell whitaker, c00ns like the cacs tell them how to think

ali was a spoil brat going up and was coddled, he was never a boss or a threat to white supremacy

floyd beat them at their own game

the whole pac fight all the reporters were crying why was he allowed to fight in the biggest fight ever

they have know clue how the boxing business is run on espn

they couldn't fathom why they couldn't put enough pressure in the media to get floyd "suspended" like the slave NFL players lmao

this is where the hate comes from, it was generated by the media and mindless sheep just recite talking points
