New York hip hop is what I grew up on, its my love, its all I know.



What I DO know now, is that NY is looking weak as fukk these days, and my people are passing off these half ass rappers, which is not gonna bring MY region back

Is he a hipster? IDK if that is the appropriate word. You have alot of different styles and backgrounds in NYC, you also have to take into consideration NYC has a LARGE blue collar middle class Black community so what is cool to some Black kids from the nice parts of BK who fukk with shops in the soho/les may not be cool to Black kids from Mott Haven. So it shouldn't be surprising when they dress differently and even sound different. Brooklyn where the Black community is very diverse represents the epitome of what I'm talking about.
