In My Mind by Pharrell a classic or just slept on gem?

Slept on gem. And personally, if Pharrell hadn't had the resurgence he had in 2013, many more would still be sleeping on this album. What's crazy is the industry went from sleeping on Pharrell to putting him on a pedestal after the successes of "Blurred Lines" and "Get Lucky". Then he came with "Happy" and started rocking that hat and the whole world jumped on the Pharrell bandwagon. Most of them, not saying you, were way late.

...not to mention when Pharrell outrapped T.I. on his own song and it didn't make any album

The album was a gem to me.

The Pharrell and The Yessirs version with Questlove though.

I discovered it a few years ago simply because Kanye has a feature verse and I only knew of Pharrell as doing hooks and beats growing up. Never really gave it a full spin.
