So what kind of offense are you going to run? He is not a SEC athlete at all. Even if he had the size and quicks for option game, he not a good football player. I have no faith he could even figure out when to keep the ball or run. Like Jim Brown said in Any Given Sunday, they made that real shyt real for him. His first reads were running ride open yesterday and he couldn't complete basic high school passes. But this is on Muskrat even having him on the roster. Why don't we give Mac a year or two put in his own QB before we run him off.
I agree with you here 100%.
Dude just won 10 games and the SEC East in his 1st season with a bum ass oline and one of the WOAT qbs of all time (for half the season) and people are ready to run him off?:dahell:

1. Fournette
2. Henry
3. Hurd
4. Cook

Out of those 4, that's how I rank who was the most effective against our defense for the whole game.

Mac deserves blame for not putting more effort into crafting game plans that cater to Treon's strengths, but let's face it, Treon is a terrible qb.

We don't have the personnel to run a spread to cater to Treon's strength, breh. Muschamp and company recruited for a pro style offense. McElwain's system is more pro style too. I think the designed QB runs were pretty much all they could do given the personnel :manny:

See idk I think Mac still wanted the rest of the team to run his offense for development purposes

Like I said earlier and like I told my homie a few hours ago...we did what we were suppose to do this year....beat the teams who we were suppose to beat and lost to who we were flat out suppose to lose to. Grier, Harris, Grady, Guy, Del Rio wasn't beating Bama yesterday and more than likely wasn't beating that FSU defense either. Offensively we were going to have up and down games regardless of who was at QB. Take away the first half against Ole Miss and the offense was inconsistent and clunky the whole season (disregard that layup in game 1 and even then we were inconsistent).

Next year I won't be surprised if we had a 3-4 loss regular season. The 2017 season is when I expect things to FULLLLLY be on track. That's the NO EXCUSES season.

Oh no doubt.

Eta: just read where they didn't want to change the O because it would hurt other players development. I didn't think about. Smart move then. Carry on then

Looks good. But I'm hoping one of the frosh WR's comes in and takes over a spot opposite Callaway.
Nothin' against BP, but I want some height out there. Move him closer to the line - maybe slot :yeshrug:

I believe A. Mac will return for his SR season, especially if he doesn't play in the bowl game. If he does return, we'll have the best DLINE in the country next year. Just a hunch, tho :ehh:

Yeah, now that you mention it, I remember in his press conference before the SECCG, Mac mentioned that Spread offenses have been effective against Bama but then said something like "but this team isn't built to run that type of offense".

I agree. I think BP is more valuable on the inside since he really isn't a true WR and he's undersized. I just will die 1,000 deaths on the inside if we have Fulwood starting next season. He's a bust who I hope isn't starting. What if D-Rob comes back though :lupe:?

I do think one of these incoming freshmen or even Worton can get himself more PT if he can build on that TD grab. That was a helluva catch. Muschamp foolishly burned his redshirt last year too :smh:

I'm not going to blow a gasket if we have a 3-4 loss regular season next year as long as we continue to progress on offense. I still think that, going into next year from a talent and overall experience standpoint, only LSU and FSU are flat out more talented than us and I think only a competent QB separates us from FSU (and to a degree LSU too). We know on the road at UT will be a tough out and wouldn't be a shocker if they FINALLY ended the streak against us, LSU will be a tough out, and UGA will be coming into the WLOCP with renewed energy with a new HC similar to us this season. I will WITH CONFIDENCE say that there is NO excuses to go into the WLOCP with anything more than 2 losses next season....NONE.
