Question and I'm not trolling....what do you guys see in Eason? When he was on our radar and I looked at his Jr year tape, kid looked like a statue out there in the pocket. No mobility, stood flat footed, relied on his arm a lot (velocity). After seeing one of my Nole brothas post his vid, I said he reminded me of Dan McGwire and saw a little of the Gilbert kid that played at Texas and SMU. Wasn't impressed at all

Well for starters, he's not Treon. That's a major plus. But seriously, after years of shytty qb play and then losing what seemed to be the first somewhat serviceable qb we've had in years over some dumbass shyt, I personally want to sign as many qbs as possible for the future, just in case people get injured or whatever. I don't care if they're heisman contenders or not, as long as they seem like they won't totally suck, I'd be straight with that. That said, from what I've seen and read, Eason seems like he wouldn't totally suck. I'm not going to jump on the hype train until I see him play on the NCAA level, but I'm confident that he'd be better than Driskel and Treon, and at least just as good, if not better, than that overrated retard Grier.

he's NOT

Jacob Guy
Treon Harris
Luke Del Rio

So i'll take him RIGHT NOW. Grier? I was willing to let him grow and live with his growing pains. He's out of the pic until Missouri next year so I wouldn't mind Franks/Eason along with Kyle Trask competing for the starting job next year. We also have Jake Allen lined up for 2017 :blessed:

He's pretty good in run support. Decent against anything thrown underneath. But, he always seems out of position on deep balls. I don't know if he's taking bad angles, or he's getting caught lookin' in the backfield and playin' catch up. But every damn time a deep ball is caught and it's a CB back there, you'll usually find Maye back there.

We're still tryna figure out how he made 1st Team AA :mindblown:

I actually think he may be a better fit as a complete player, in the league, because it's so run heavy.

Good points...I was thinking he should stay another year but might as well strike while the iron is hot

Maybe he would be a good hybrid safety lb type of player

:damn: Just saw this post on another forum:

Having a real offense can make a drastic difference, in 1 year.

In his 5th year at LA Tech, the "terrible Florida QB" Jeff Driskel threw for over 3500 yards, 24 td and 8 picks, with over 8.7 ypa. Insane stats.

His previous 4 years, combined, at Florida?
3263 yards, 23 tds, 20 picks, 5.9 ypa

He put up over 300 yards against Miss State and KSU and had 5 TDs total in both games (2/3).

Link to stats: Jeff Driskel

You can't say enough about having the right system.
