Word his verse on Stella was :whew:

I haven't heard much U- God recently but I thought he ripped Ghetto off Ghost's Apollo Kids album

hes actually been spitting fire since 8 Diagrams, his last album Dopium had 5 or 6 really nice tracks

The Keynote Speaker drops on Soul Temple Records in March, you never know with U could be cool :ld:

dont give up on WTC guys, at least check the new album when it drops dont bow out on my black uncles :to:

Iron Flag was the last straw.. The W album was weak but I thought it was just a bump in the road and they would come back strong...

Rae and Ghost still had great albums in them as soloists though...That's why I always say I'm more of a Rae/Ghost/Donna Stan than a Wu Tang Stan...

I havent checked for U-God, Deck, Killah Priest and GZA for years...

Never. As long as these cats spit, like how they've been spittin, I'm gonna be checkin for them. That Keynote Speaker got the potential to be a beast considering Uey's been on a roll lately on the mic and it's executive produced by RZA. That Ghost/Adrian Younge project is gonna be a classic, no doubt about it. GZA album, Dark Matters, should be notable considering a legendary MC, or any for that matter, has never dropped an album based solely on the universe. Cap got a double album bout to drop but I don't know what to expect from it. Deck's Czarface project should be good as long as he has the bulk of the verses. Rae is Rae. Rae been dropping high class quality raps since Cuban Linx 2. Meth is determined to drop a "classic" but word is he's to lazy to get his ass in the studio and complete the album. A shame considering he's had some unbelievable verses over the past 2 years. There's a Wu monster project that should drop in 2013, helmed by Cilvaringz, that should be bananas. And plus several members have laid down verses already for a 20th anniversary group album that I'm sure is gonna be fire. Name another group in hip hop still making tracks together and dropping quality raps that put most mainstream MC's raps to shame?

Thing is...they've only made 2 group albums in like 12 years. Every Ghost and Rae album has Wu group tracks. Which one of these tracks have made you, or anyone, made you feel that they "fell off"? Every time several members get together on a track...the magic is still there.

I thought as a whole The W and Iron Flag were both weak by their standards...

I hear you, but the W is generally looked as a very dope album. Iron Flag was just a shame. 8 Diagrams needs to be revisited by a lot of people. I can never get over how anyone can not like that album.

I don't think I ever listened to 8 Diagrams in full but I will check it out...

Like I said I was always more of a fan of the Wu Gambinos....

Wu-Block was bangin to me and you had everybody on it...Rae, Cap, GZA, Meth, Deck, Masta Killah. although it was a small sample size of what they have left as a collective...if they dropped an LP right now, I guarantee it would fit easily into my rotation. They may be off the scene for the most part but dopeness is still there.

Around 2000 or 2001. What I've discovered though, is that I have slept on a lot of their work since then and I have kinda started getting back into them and a lot of it is pretty good. They were just way too over-exposed. I bet they made a shyt load of money, though

1999 was a tough year. Especially coming off an adjustment period full of transitions in 1998. They'll never again be what they were, but still can hit a home run at any given at bat.

Rza is the hinge. If he's making wack, keyboard, chord change kurzweil beats then the clan suffers. If he throws some dusty shyt in the mix they thrive. And I like 8 Diagrams but no more guitarists in the studio please.
