Dedicated to a certain Coli Chick from Uptown. 😘😉

Keith Sweat feat. Athena Cage - Nobody (Official Music Video)

stock pic from a film but my first whip was a ice blue Lincoln Continental similar to the black one in the vid. and yeah I used to style and profile thru much of the City and Strong Island. It rode like a magic carpet ride. 😉

He could sing well enough. Not the greatest vocalist in the traditional sense. He has his own style and had great songs that only he could bring to life. Who else do you wanna hear sing "How Deep is your Love" or "Make it Last Forever" ?
This is where I'm at with it. If you give those songs to one of his peers would they be better?

Make It Last Forever - NO
Don't Stop the Love - NO
I'll Give All My Love to You - NO (the desperation in his voice works with the song)
Nobody - NO
Twisted - NO
Get up on It - NO
Something Just Ain't Right - NO

I will admit "I Want Her"... Guy, B. Brown, BBD all would have killed that too

There is one slow song that escapes me that maybe Melvin Riley/RFTW would have been able to handle better. But that's about it.

Not really, in a classic case. But the man made classic timeless music.

....
Not technically

But when he sings

“I want to go outside in the rain”

Or

“Make it last forever”

You feel it in your soul

Fukk that bullshyt ass song

I always hated that wack ass bullshyt

Whole song is off-key in the weirdest way. Like some errie shyt from an R&B horror movie.

Well I loved it then. I just went and looked at the video for the 1st time since 1994.....you right it's trash. But it wasn't to my 16yr old ears then

Chit…we listened to Total. Lol

Thank you for pointing this out. Listening to "Pam"'s voice was always chore to me. Her vocals sounded exceptionally annoying on LL's "Lounging".
