Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high

Sharae Terry describes her twin sister, Shacare, as a loving mother to her two-year-old and the proud owner of the Minnie Blessings in Paradise daycare on the city’s east side.

“Me and my sister had the type of relationship that we could get into it one minute and then right after that we would be back friends and talking,” Sharae said.

When her sister traveled to the Dominican Republic in April with her childhood friend, Carlesha Williams, Sharae says she never imagined she would never be able to hug her again.

Sharae says she knew something wasn’t right when she Facetimed with her sister a few days after her surgery, and she didn’t look like the sister she knew.

“I knew something wasn’t right. I knew it in my heart.” Sharae said.

Last month’s trip wasn’t Shacare’s first time traveling out of the country for surgery.

She had posted to her Facebook page back in February that she went to Mexico where her family says she underwent gastric sleeve surgery.

Just a few months later on April 11, Shacare and Williams traveled to the Dominican Republic for another procedure.

“She was definitely healthy, everything that went wrong happened there,” Sharae said.

Shacare and Williams both underwent surgery for a Brazilian Butt Lift and a Tummy Tuck while there.

Williams says both of their surgeries were performed by Dr. Jose Desena at Instituto Medico San Lucas.

By the second day after her surgery, Williams said she was still in a lot of pain, but she noticed Shacare seemed to be struggling a lot more than she was.

*Edit*

A quick Google search on this doctor should've raised a red flag. He seems to have a history of patients being severely injured or dying. One website called him 'Dr. Death'

Here's a video posted in 2020 that shows one of his patients who allegedly passed away after undergoing a procedure

Here's a petition against him...

That shyt is scary af and not worth the risk.

If you're ugly just be ugly

Too many mothers aren’t focused enough on being mothers.

I know the “mama gotta have a life too” crowd hates to hear this but once you’re a mother that should be your 1-100th priority. Elective surgery shouldn’t even be on the table.

The surgery, in and of itself isn't the problem...you got a gut, you fat or pudgy, it's whatever. Do you, it's not my body.

Just don't cheap out and go to fukkin DR, Brazil, or Mexico or some other unsanitary ass place risking your life to get the job done.

That's what's stupid and doesn't make any sense. If you gon be vain, then be smart about it.

when did i say any of that shyt??? am i here saying black women are perfect human beings that deserve no criticism?? yall hate them for their BODIES
It’s not about whether you said it explicitly. It’s about using the same logic. You’re implying that the desires and expectations of one group can result in another group making dangerous decisions to meet said expectations. So I’m asking it if works both ways.

I don’t personally blame black men or black women for the destructive behaviors of their counterparts. The problem is parents not instilling the idea that your values shouldn’t be dependent upon outside influence. The influence will always be there. People need to learn to overcome this influence at all costs, and the best people to do this effectively are parents. Regardless of how outrageous my expectations may be, it’s no one’s job to meet those expectations if they don’t want to.

every time a black woman dies from one of these surgeries you motherfukkers all say "her fault"

and every day you motherfukkers post bytches with kim k asses on jbo and worship em

im tired of yall :russell:
Yea we worship fat asses... so ? It's still her fault. She could've gone to the gym and done squats but she wanted to take the easy path. Nothing worth having in life comes easy you gotta put in work. If a nikka went and got surgery to get fake muscles and died I'd have the same view.

The easy road comes with risks. As a grown adult with a kid on top of that, you should understand this.

BBL’s in general are a very dangerous procedure. A lot of plastic surgeons won’t do them. A lot of the times working out won’t get you the desired results. However with the surgery and working out it really helps.

What was the recovery time and how did yours feel initially?

Bet it was costly as well.
