I heard cbs sports broadcasters on the radio yesterday saying it was a shytty game.
Jim Rome did an entire hour calling it a bad game.
That's not the main ESPN NFL Live crew or the top FS1 shows tho. I get ripping aspects of the game or something that happens, but for 75% of your shows commentary being dedicated to ripping the players and the league, that's a problem and counter productive. When they had Draymond Green on the show last season it got real nasty, vicious, and personal on there. I have no clue who allowed that level hate and anger on their flagship show.

It's ESPN too. You can watch NFL Live and if it's a game in Green Bay it's spoken of glowing: "The Frozen Tundra", "The house that Lombardi built", "Can't wait to go", etc. First Take will come on and SAS will say live on air that he doesn't want to go to Milwaukee to cover a playoff game. He'd rather go to Miami, LA, or NYC. It's jokes, but it sets the tone and undermines the product so that when Milwaukee plays OKC in the Cup Final it's labeled as "the match up we didn't want".

I get the excessive threes taken and some of the stars not translating, but they gotta curb some this anti league commentary before it really spirals out of control.

The problem with what he said is 2 things:
1. He is right. They do trash the product alot, and that cant help things at all. But we live in a negative society that only wants to hear bad things.
2. This dude is the wrong messenger. His high pitched, pipsqueak voice is annoying. And he is always negative about EVERY subject, so him calling out Inside the NBA is rich, cause he is always complaining about shyt.

I just have a problem with non athletes (especially white ones) who make lots of money talking down Black athletes and getting paid well for it. And this dude is very high on that list.

Didn’t even need to click to know what he was gonna say. 1000% facts.

Some of you need to get out of your feelings. You can have an adverse effect on something without that being your intention. In addition to the player attacks, 2 huge factors:

1- You have 2 wealthy—-not rich, wealthy——mfers covering the game and what makes them great is the same thing that can be a detriment; they act like they have better things tbey could be doing bc they DO have better things they can be doing. It paints the regular season games as monotonous

2- In particular, think about how they treat late games and games with bad teams. Like it’s a chore to recap them. Openly calling them bullshyt. Well that’s over 50% of the leagues product. And now multiply that by twenty years.

They have been slowing teaching people to not care about the monotony of the nba season

I did answer your question. but you are trying to evade it. So i will ask you a question
You claim NFL announcers are so much better why are there people out there making the same complaints about them then?
Pat McAfee has video claiming NFL commentators are ruining games. Care to address that since you claim it doesn't happen?

This video is literally no different of a take than Jason McIntyre's take.
But watch you come through with a

Did you actually listen to/watch pat's vid and what mcintire said? No way you watched both and came to the conclusion that they are talking about the same things.
Pat is saying the commentators suck at their job, as in maybe explaining plays and shyt to the casual fans etc. Pat says "Shouldnt you be putting the league/player over instead of telling long winded stories about yourself?" Al Michaels is fukking trash on TNF/Prime. He isnt shytting on the product/players and telling them to not watch. Seems pat and Hawk have some specific ppl in mind because they keep mentioning how the commentator brings everything back to themselves and how they played. So they talking about a specific former player turned commentator.

Jason is saying Inside the NBA guys are trashing the product, and when fans see legends like shaq/Charles trash the product, that hurts the product. They are trashing players and the product adn telling ppl not to watch the product.

So Pat and Jason are saying very different things.

Seems like you missed the point. This is able the NBA allowing Inside the NBA to trash the product and tell ppl not to watch. Not about having bad commentators. Those are two different arguments.

Charles has been on TNT since 2000

Shaq has been on there since like 2011

The idea that they have actually impacted the sport negatively with their comments is laughable. Bad basketball is what's ruining the sport

- load management
- The absolute ridiculous amount of three-pointers being taken
- a terrible dunk contest and All-Star game.
- and between October and January/February people only care about the NFL
- and there are 50,000 different ways for people now that they want to watch a game. This app, that app, etc. you used to be able to turn on the NBA on NBC on Sunday and watch four straight games.

Now you got to go to ESPN or TNT or your local service sometimes games are spread across different platforms it's hard to keep track

100% facts. That useless show is only for the lowest of the low when it comes to "basketball" talk. It's the epitome of deadbrained, slapstick casual old head drivel in place of actual competent basketball analysis. And it features two of the most prominent c00ns on national television. The NBA will be better once it's finally dead and gone.

Stephen A ,Cowherd and Skip have done way more than inside the NBA

2 of them were apart of the highest rated sports show on the largest sports network and the other is one of the largest sports radio shows in the country

Inside the nba comes on at 1 in the morning and/or is a 30 minute show once …MAYBE twice a week ain’t no amount of clips in the world that’ll have the same impact
My sentiments exactly

All this reminds me of Rodney Harrison/Mac/Chris thing. When this happened a lot of ppl called out Rodney. You know why? Because players/media in the NFL protect the product for the most part.

You even had ppl like Micah coming to Wilson's defense.Rodney went on to apologize.

Go to the NBA and you have Shaq telling Joker to his face he didnt deserve the MVP right after he won it.

Thats a pivot. This is about Inside the NBA. The NFL and MLB do not have a weekly show that encourages its fans not to watch or always badmouthing the state of the league And it’s players

I’ve been saying this shyt for the past five years on this board. Inside the NBA is bad for the league. They contribute nothing to the NBA itself other than helping themselves
