people out here creating new "apps" everyday hoping they hit the lottery and become the hot new app (worst business to enter btw )... some new shyt will always catch on... just gotta be alert and gotta be early

You also gotta remember every industry matures. Social media will never be like it was 5 years ago. Users are more aware that they are being advertised to and when given the chance -- they opt out of it. Only smart marketers will adapt and thrive.

If your constantly checking your shyt, then of course it's going to be low on content lol. As for instagram dying, I highly doubt it man. Instagram is still one of the hottest social services out there, especially from a marketing standpoint. Hell, it's a saving grace for a lot of creators. Like someone also mentioned earlier too, they could have also changed their algorithm around.
