The Truth
I never really used it.

They said because you can’t see your followers likes anymore this will stop people from being able to see when someone was last on because it was too intrusive but if you’ve ever dm’ed with someone you can see when they were last on Instagram if you go into your dm section.
This too

i have a couple homeboys that would see me liking shyt then call me when i just didn’t feel like talking on the phone

it was weird a lil bit. But if the see you’ve liked some shyt theyll call you at like 5am or some shyt and im like:gucci:

But the Following tab wasn’t just unhelpful and therefore ignored by Instagram users — a number of people forgot, or never even knew, it existed in the first place. There are numerous stories of people’s illicit or private activities being outed because of what they were liking and following on Instagram.

The tab was fairly notorious for the transparency it brought to our online lives. It was often a place where “micro-cheating” activity was caught, for example. That is, it could reveal when a person in a committed relationship was spending just a little too much time liking someone else’s posts, engaging with an ex’s content or networking with series of potential “backup partners” on a regular basis.
:wow:

Do you want millions to kill themselves?
It's actually the opposite

Now Facebook says it may remove Like counts – TechCrunch

I know this isn't the tech forum of this site, but :mjlol:

Yal really are out of touch with what is going on at Facebook/Instagram. There have been studies, and multiple articles and even testimonials from models that use IG, stating how public likes creates anxiety and has an overall negative impact on people's mindset. It impacts people's self esteem. It also, influences the application to not be used as it was intended. You have the "Influencer Marketing" market about to die because more and more of them have been getting exposed for buying likes and followers which then translates to them working with brands to push products.

The whole "everybody's an influencer" feel of IG is why IG is trying to break away from it all. Instagram would MUCH rather people post freely and not even think about the number of likes their shyt will get opposed to how people use it now.

It's not even about people's actual CONTENT anymore, it's more about the clout they have from their followers.

This shyt still alive :lolbron: yall need to kill insecuragram already. Even with these platforms, they basically fuel and bring out everything that is wrong with people. It was made to basically control and pimp you. Even if you use it to gain something, its going to take something away from you in exchange for that so you're not really winning. That shyt really be stealing folks humanity where that shyt owns folks like they're slaves. Leave that shyt alone if you can. It's bad for the brain and the mental. Folks literally are creating personas and alternate lives where they are forgetting who they are and aren't in touch with reality.

I deleted my IG last year but I think the app could be great to stay connected to the others and celebrate your life + people you care about on it

For me the problem was I feel as if I need to do more in life and im following hella people partaking in an e-clout competition. I think if used the right way the app is great but the clout chasing is crazy on there

This which is what I am for. You can have something dope but if a 1000 other people don’t like then it has no value to some folks. The number of followers as well to be honest. Just show the content provider how many people have come across your posts and be done with it. If it’s worth it to them, they’ll reach out.
