Interesting comparison video of GTA IV and V

kinda amazing how much rockstar stripped out of V to make a bigger game. I forgot how good the AI was in IV, I kinda panned that game when I played it because Saints Row 2 was so much better and I felt IV was a step back from San Andreas. But damn, you could do some shyt in it. Barely even touched V when I got it, the game felt so shallow, cool to see the big reasons why it felt like that.

I wanna go back to it with some mods now...

The video showed how much better the physics were (especially the rag doll physics). It was always pretty fun pushing people down the steps or off a building, which u couldnt do in 5.

I liked that GTA 4 was actually a challenge the checkpoints and regenerating health made 5 pretty easy. Plus the cars were really hard to control and the people weren't weaklings like in 5.

i think that was the issue with the 360 and ps3. But with these new systems there should be more than enough resources to implement a lot of the physics from the last game (outside of that driving)

I'm not a big online gamer so I never really cared for IV's online mode, but Rockstar should have kept it how it was. Instead of creating an entirely new online franchise.

Now all their resources go into Online and you'll see how the regular GTA suffers because of this.

People can call GTA IV boring all they want, but that video is proof that the physics were a lot better than GTA V.

Only thing in terms of physics V had over IV was the player movement (walking, running etc.) It felt a lot more fluid, not as rigid and more realistic.

they had to make the damn online system as complex as possible, could hardly get in the game mode I wanted with this bulls***. Stopped playing about two months after launch :stopit:
