Interesting point brought up by the person in this vid, who is Australian Aboriginal.

We typically think of the word black in relation to the Trans-Atlantic slave trade - therefore uniquely specific to those of African ancestry.

Australian Aboriginals do not have African Ancestry and are by most accounts basically Asian and much closer ancestry to stereotypical South East Asians genetically, than African.

However, when you look deeper race is a social construct created by backwards CAC Europeans to justify slavery AND imperialism. The same Europeans who went to Africa are the same ones who went to Australia and they called the people there black.

Science proves race is not a biological construct as Africans have the highest levels of genetic diversity out of any “races”. Basically, an African person could be more genetically different to their neighbor than an Asian person thousands of miles away.

So basically the same CACS from Europe who went to Africa and then the west, did the same thing but in the East.

So since race is a social construct. Technically, Australian Aboriginals are black - since the same Europeans who created race went there and defined them as black.

Tl:dr Australian Aboriginals are black.

And one side note, when I say ‘black’ I don’t mean in the colloquial sense of ‘American Descendant of Slaves’ culturally. Only racially, as in we, along with Africans, and Australians are all in the same race.

We are not all in the same race.

Aboriginals are from africa. They're among the 1st groups who migrated from africa, traveled along the Asian coast, amalgamated with denosivans and etc., and landed in Australia.
Everybody is supposedly from Africa (until Antarctica melts and they finish clearing the Brazilian rainforest).

You didn’t read my original post. Race is NOT ethnicity OR nationality.

Black =/= Black American.

Why? Because Black American is an ETHNICITY NOT A RACE.

Black = Negro = Negroid under race as a social construct created by Europeans in the 1700z

If anything it’s been used by non-black diaspora as an insult.

There are Black South Americans, Black Latinos, Black Europeans, etc.

I get what you’re saying but you’re misunderstood. Black people in America do not have a singular identity to unify under, therefore we identify as black out of necessity. In reality, it’s no different than identifying as a Negro as harsh as it sounds.

When in reality, we should be more specific. African American was a start, but it was too broad and basically included the diaspora by definition.

A better term is ADOS (African Descent of Slaves). That would eliminate others hopping in and out of our ethnic group because we have no clear definition. That is the consequence of us being a people with no clear terminology to define us.

Black traditionally refers to people of Africa and their descendants.
But we're not the only people to have dealt with cacs so many other groups also consider themselves Black as long as they're not white.

But then again, according to Aborigine Cathy Freeman, she's Black.

Freeman wanted to carry her people and her culture with her through each success. As a child, she’d been made to feel embarrassed to be Aboriginal and, at around the age of 10, wasn’t given a first-place trophy she’d won, “apparently because I was Black”.

That day in Canada, Freeman claimed her trophy; her first individual Commonwealth gold medal in a games-record time of 50.38secs.

Beaming, she jogged around the track, the flags of both her country and her people held proudly over her head.

“I wanted to shout, ‘Look at me. Look at my skin. I’m black, and I’m the best.’ There was no more shame’.” Freeman said in her biography, Cathy: Her Own Story.

White people even named the country of "New Guinea" in Asia after the region called "Guinea" in West Africa. West Africa's Guinea had an upper and a lower section that encompassed the entirety of West Africa. Now days there is a country called Guinea in West Africa. A country called Equatorial Guinea in Central Africa and a country called New Guinea in Asia.

An interesting side note is the reason that White people thought that Africans did not wear clothes and were cannibals and head hunters and had bones in their noses was because of the Black people in Asia. The Black people in Asia were isolated and for the most part didn't engage in a lot of trade with outsiders and were fairly primitive. Africans on the other hand have always had major Empires, trade, religion, governments, taxes, etc. Africans, except for the pygmies, and other hunter gatherer societies, had always worn clothes and they had textile industries for over a thousand years where they had grown and died cotton, rafia and other fabrics. So this is more proof that the average White person knows nothing about geography, cultures or history because Asia is nowhere near Africa yet White people conflated different cultures.

That's a very good point. That bone through the nose shyt is not African at all yet in the popular mind, it's still an African stereotype.

so being black is basically about your complexion now?
Not about having african ancestry? So why do we call people like WIll Smith black, he brown.
This seems like a deliberate misued of clearly defined words to taken literally.
Black to meant african ancestry. not dark skin, in this case are dark skinned indians black too?

I think that they are actually called Austronesian, but it includes large segments of Asia. So I lump them with Asians.
Nope, I’ve spent the last two years in PNG and my girlfriend is from PNG. They call themselves Melanesian. I’ve met some people from Fiji two that also call themselves Melanesian.

Cacs might try to call them austronesian though but that ain’t it.
