I do but it don't matter people don't really like being challenged and or called out anyway so of course you'd disagree :yeshrug:

I'd loved to be schooled breh. If you have knowledge on the matter then put it out there. I definitely think there's still.money in the niche game. But from reading up on it, you have to do more now to get it than before.

No I was moreso talking about how after the Internet, its was seo, then YouTube, the affiliate marketing, then apps, then something else. Its always something that can get you paid in tech that's what I was talking about more in general when I said you didn't miss the gravy train. I meant its always some new tech or something to capitalize off of. Sorry for any confusion.

This is so true. Some of those things are still open for exploit like youtube. But like I said earlier the gravy train right now is Instagram. Their letting you get away witk all types of wild shyt that they might hammer down on in the future, or maybe they won't.

Agreed, and SEO back in the day was like the wild west, very easy to make money and if you knew your shyt, you could make ALOT money, there is still money in it, but you have people milking it dry, its very tough to start up SEO today and kill it, thats why I said this dude in the like is 100% bs. You start getting enough traffic, the big dogs will backlink the shyt out of you and take away enough to make you close up shop.

This sub-reddit was created by u/LocalCaseStudy in early 2012 to show people how he launched his cleaning company, MaidsInBlack.com. Less than two years later, his company is now doing over$1 Million dollars per year and at least FIVE more companies that were founded from this subreddit are on pace to hit that in 2015 as well. You've stumbled across what is probably the most transparent case study you'll ever see for a local business.

My nikka started a million dollar a year business without leaving his home, meanwhile im out here every day tryna make money thinking im a "true hustler"

I know someone who makes over 50k a month on SEO, and I can tell you 1 thing, he wont post his numbers OR teach anyone shyt, instead he tells people the generics, basic stuff, that sounds amazing......but doesnt work

yeah, 90% of the folks that sell their services sell stuff that doesn't work or worked last year....

but only because too many people knowing a method will kill a method dead, which is why methods don't last

I know this thread was about the Pat Flynn dude, but I think the link @L&HH posted is even more interesting. Dude started a Shave Subscription company that has over 100k in revenue in under 6 months (Wet Shave Club) and he's a breh :leon:

He also owns an maidsinblack.com and says he's done a mil in sales in 2 years and he started an online schedule management company as well.

Speaking of SEO/Advertising

for people starting a new company, the key thing is obviously a real product and something you believe in you can sell, but advertising.. It doesnt matter if you got the best sales pitch/product/website or whatever, if people dont know about your company then it wont matter..

and no, joining a MLM is not starting your own business :snoop:

For my event ive been talking about past few weeks, usually I do the promoting myself or with 1-3 other people. For this one, I did a commission based style pay out for promoters. I got 35 people posting flyers, texting people, etc. Out of 18 tables, only 3 are left and still 11 days till the event :leon: (in the clubbing industry, majority of tables are sold within a 24-48 hour period of the actual party so to be almost sold out completely 11 days ahead of time got me feeling :blessed: )

and its mostly because more people seen the event than my other events

long story short: advertising is just as important as anything with your company. I know you see those billboards through out cities and think to yourself "does it really matter" yes, yes it does.
