People had enough time to respond. If you think others are better that's your opinion, but Chino's career isn't impressive or noteworthy, De La shoot subs and duck when called out, Mobb Deep never held back they did La La straight away and drop a gem for Pac, Jay just wasn't that guy when Big and Pac were dominating. The narrative that "these guys didn't have time to respond" is just something I disagree with.
Those guys might have not been afraid of Pac, but Pac / Death Row certainly wasn't stressed about any of those guys.
Nas took 8 months to drop Ether. On the album. It was regular to use it to push your albums. Also, it took MONEY to release music in the mid 90s.

Chino's career was limited by:

1. Unwillingness to sell out.
2. Not getting the chance to tear Pac apart, relegating him to a footnote, and Pac dikkriders swearing "he killed him" :comeon: His Pac dis freestyle was vicious, but nobody cared, and youcan't push any dis song aimed at a dead man. Well, in 2022, maybe, but not 96.

3. His home, Jersey turning on him like fakkits because the Outlawz were from there, and Pac bandwagon dikkeaters. He had to up and move to Cali and start completely over. He was a mega talent.

Drop A Gem On 'Em was changed, and there was at least another song that was way more flagrant that was scrapped after he died. Long Kiss Goodnight was changed also. Do your research.

Nas still took shots at Pac a couple of times, one of the songs was just leaked months ago. DMX also took a shot at Pac, it didn't take too much time for him to do it.
Life After Death was an album he was making, the song you're referring to was an album song. Tying an album process to others capable of making diss records on singles or underground tapes is disingenuous. Mobb did it, King Sun did it, Nas did it, DMX did it, didn't need 8 months to do it.

Some did, some didn't. Quik vs. CMW played out on album releases. Again, recording and releasing music cost real money in 96, not everybody was just putting out free songs, as well as the beef being free promo.

10% of 300 million is 30 million. All it takes is for 100 privilege black hiphop heads to make a forum pop. i know this may sound foreign but some black people had money in the 90s. Hell my uncle worked at a Barden cable and had internet. He was far from paid

Look man, I'm not saying what you're saying is impossible....but I didn't see it, at all.

The schools I went to were 90-99% black. The areas too. In 1996 I didn't know a single black person....or hell, any race....that even knew what a message board was, let alone was on one.

The types of conversations being posted in this thread were happening outside. I was on the internet in 1999 because I copped a Dreamcast....but I was the first person I knew that had internet access.
