I feel you man. The sad part is at Amazon most of the dudes running things ain't white lol. I can't wait for trump to do something about this H1B1 stuff manI'm gonna salute you breh...I seriously don't understand why tech companies won't hire black workers?!?!
are they that afraid of us taking over or something?!? But if we build our own they call us racist yet 95℅ of their workforce is WHITE!!!!

Don't think I'll get it either. I honestly am kinda upset about the place. It's like it was the last straw for me in thinking anyone really care about Black Lives. Seattle got signs up all over but not a single person in place of power of color in the city. Liberals trying they best to use the black vote. I ain't going for it. It's crazy.Good luck breh. Flew up there for an interview last summer for a Brand Specialist position. Stupid competitive.

right! It's a lot of us man. Most end up stuck on they first career job (help desk) cause they grow up without affluence/networking ability. Go through college and just do their homework but not understanding the schoolwork is just a lil of the game.
I didn't go to a HBCU and most brehs in my school did pick a communications related major so you might have a point to an extent.
That doesn't mean we aren't applying though.
When I was looking for a job I applied for Google, Apple, Intel and Cisco. I always check the box mentioning I'm black on the application too. None of them called me for an interview. My experience was more than qualified for the positions.
Other companies called but those 4 in particular curved me. I worked for a different large tech company and could count on one hand how many of us worked there excluding security
The reports about these silicon valley companies not hiring us are legit. We're the least represented group out here

And if we were to get communication degrees. So what? I see white folks going to little liberal art schools and getting high paying consulting jobs off the rip.
Dope. You have a product background? I`ve been thinking about moving from the BA role into Product Management down the line.
Typically those whites are at "prestigious" PWIs that have Consulting companies that pretty much funnel grads into their Fresher programs.

Where I`m going at is there are barely Blacks getting STEM degrees, that already makes our talent pool small. That plus other groups (i.e Asians) out numbering from an education standpoint on top of being in the industry the odds are not on our side. We pretty much have less people on the inside who can "look out" for us.
Hope you get it Breh but they are notorious for pushing employees to their limits and there's not a lot of room for underperformance.

seems like a company where even if they get you out the paint in 6 months the simple fact you have Amazon on your resume people will give you props lol.
