Not a myth because when they did increase the screen size finally with the 5 it was that weird long screen then the 5S came out and continued that trend. Jobs died in 2011 and the 5 came out in 2012.I think that's one of the biggest myths out here. That's was Steve Jobs way of thinking and since he ran shyt that's what went down. As far as the fanboys, yeah there were people that ate up whatever Apple served but I think there were more people that wanted a bigger screen.
The 1st big screen phone I remember seeing is the Evo. I been wanting a bigger screen since then. Everyone that I know personally that has been rocking an iPhone for awhile has wanted a bigger screen and that 4" inch shyt they pulled with the 5 wasn't cutting it.
It would be interesting to see what size the iPhone would be today if Jobs were still alive.
thats my biggest gripe also and ive been ios since 08 (ipod touch)
I respect what android stands for and believe it has a place in the cellphone game. i like that they constantly push what a cellphone can do and contain, but im not terribly interested in the specs or customization of it anymore. I use to want the HTC desire (and motorola droid with the slide out keyboard) more than ANYTHING ( i was pretty much fukk iphone) but once i got an iphone 4, shyt just clicked. I had came from a windows phone and had an ipod touch, so i thought an iphone 4 would be wack because i was use to iOS. but once i got the 4 and used it full tim,. I appreciated its snappyness (at the time) and ease of use. I didn't know the specs compared to the HTC Desire i just new the shyt worked, and i didnt have near as many problems as my then girlfriend had with her htc at the time.
Been a fan ever since

these two post sum up perfectly why people like Apple products. the iPhone is for the casual user that wants a homogenized simple easy to use smartphone you just pick up and go with. Pro users can get into that when Jailbroken but most of that base is casual. Android from the gate almost demands you customize it. Apple has reached a point where the brand is so strong they don't need to innovate anymore. they let Android come up with new ideas and years later incorporate them if they like them and think they work.I'm 40 years old, I don't care about none of that android stuff, with age your interest dwindle and your main goal is survival. I don't have time for none of that android stuff but I use a HTC ONE and it's a good phone I just don't care about all the crap it can do.
When I get the money together I'll get the Iphone, I don't like the design of the 6 though.

i just wanna text, call and search google for shyt i dont know. my old ass is trying to find a new career, i need some a little more productive than android.

your current phone doesn't already do this?would you rather my old ass install a rom in my spare time? you expect a nikka my age to watch to download youtube videos and download torrents on my phone? imi just wanna text, call and search google for shyt i dont know. my old ass is trying to find a new career, i need some a little more productive than android.
IOS quick search by swiping down from the top searches for any program, widgets on the LOCK SCREEN like EVERNOTE for productivity is what I consider good. I like android but for me simplicity is better, I'm trying to straighten up in real life, I been though mad shyt.

Dear God you had to wait 10 seconds for an app to load. I got a Galaxy S5 and an iPad Mini Retina sitting right next to each other and the apps load at about the same time apart.Even if it did take 10 extra seconds so what what extra productivity would I get done in that timespan?I've been GSDG since the iPhone 4 but I'm switching back to iOS
Don't get me wrong I love android but that lag that every android phone has after 6 to 8 months is unbearable
I'm on my 2 year old Note 2 right now and its disgusting how laggy this phone is. It performs nothing like it did the first 6 months
On the other hand my iPhone 4 is still smooth after 4 years
I'm gonna miss a lot of stuff about android but fukk it, I need that buttery smooth OS in my life again
So tired of clicking on chrome and it literally takes 10 seconds before the browser opens
The first 6 months with basically any android flagship phone>>>>>>>>iPhones but iPhones perform better in the long run
Come on, man.....we supposed to be brothers!
i agree, which is why im only copping stock (or very close to stock) phones from here on out.As you get older shyt like widgets on the home screen...downloading Roms...etc feels more like a waste a time and just doing shyt just to do it. I found myself mainly doing the same shyt on a note 3 or gs5 that I would do on a iPhone minus a few features (drag and drop/downloading zips/rars of music from the web natively/IR blaster for my tv when a remote isn't around). Outside of those things...iOS does do a few things better (universal search quick and easy/everything is snappier/camera and camera app/etc). At the end of the day I'm pretty much Doing the same shyt on both regardless of how many more customization features android brings. I'm more so about how well you do the things that I use these days and at this point honestly both get a 1up in certain areas....but iOS is definitely more polished right now and updates you can depend on without a fragmented time schedule....so right now I'm rocking this iPhone 6 as my daily driver and my gs5 as a back up as well as accessing a couple features I can't use on ios when needed...I need my shobox streaming to my chrome cast especially so my gs5 ain't going nowhere right now.
Also...I don't know what it is but I manually type way faster and more accurately on the iPhone keyboard...I think it has something to do with input lag or something

It does though in some areas...if not just faster. Swipe down on the home screen for universal search...underrated convenience..and quick.i agree, which is why im only copping stock (or very close to stock) phones from here on out.
but people act like ios does the simple shyt so much better, which ive never understood.
