Is a black Seinfeld show possible? A show about nothing?

There's a documentary on the Seinfeld show. Pretty much everything you see on screen happened in real life to one of the actors or writers.

Sure they embellished some shyt to make it more funny, sometimes they left it as is, some stories they cleaned up to make it presentable on TV... But there's not an actual lot about the show that writers sat around and just made up.

That’s a big part of why I want to write it
I have been through similar quirky situations that I think would make for similar kind of TV
I relate a lot to the characters

Seinfeld is nothing special, that whole "show about nothing" concept is just a marketing add tag, it's a situational comedy like all the rest. And its not even funny, without the laugh track that shyt is terrible and you realize it quick, I tried watching Seinfeld on at least 3 occasions, shyt was dumb, Bernie Mac Show shyts on Seinfeld.
Both shows are funny, but Seinfeld is funnier. It’s one of the top 5 best sitcoms to me

I didn't watch Seinfeld growing up but I started watching around 2010. My white coworker never gave Martin a chance and I never gave Seinfield a chance. So we challenged each other to watch a season of the show. Since then, I've watched ever episode of Seinfield. Unpopular opinion in my community, Seinfeld is a top 5 show all-time white or black. Seinfeld has too many classic moments.
:manny:

My mom use to watch Frasier in 90s but never watched Seinfield. I'm trying to get her to watch Seinfield but she's stuck on Hallmark and Lifetime channels.

This is the point that I was making. Think about a black show with an episode that centers around them sneaking food into the theater and trying not to get caught. Man this would be gold

Can't be done. They've banned the Puerto Rican Day parade episode since it premiered and times are just different. Some group would be pissed about something. That's like asking for another Married With Children no matter the color of the cast. Society wouldn't accept it.

Seinfeld is the GOAT comedy show by the way and yes I'm black and own Martin and Fresh Prince on DVD.

define "nothing"
Pretty much every show without a focused continuous plot could be described as being about nothing.

Atlanta, Southside, Vince Staples show, Flatbush Misdemeanors off the top come to mind

Insecure was a show about nothing.
Followed the lives of regular black folks.
Lead character dated a lot like Jerry with her ex hovering around like Elaine
Her friends had some funny side plots.

I feel like Insecure was a woman's show while Seinfeld was for everybody.

Insecure dealt with the world from a woman's POV.
