Some of maintaining the lead can fall on the QB – like picking up a key third down with the lead and not turning it over. A lot of it involves other factors like the defense, coaching, and luck.
So far, while Rodgers’ close game record has not been great, it also involves a lot more than him. If his teams were holding leads like New England has for most of Brady’s career, we probably would not be reading about him today.
@FTBS
So are you agreeing with me or challenging me breh? I'm still tryna figure out who is trying to have it both ways...for Rodgers at least.

I put an asterisk beside all offensive stats in today's era.

Okay we are dealing with something different here". He would have put on a similar display in the SB if it weren't for the drops. Dude would have broken all the SB records and blew the Steelers out if the WR could've held on to the ball.
It's truly
how the pendulum has swung all the way in the opposite direction with this dude. Dude was Peyton 20 years ago...with even better teams. He was the guy "always coming up short in the playoffs" who "couldn't get his team over the hump" now he's unassailable and the teams he was going against were too good. In 7 years as a starter he lost 3 home playoff games. By comparison Peyton "the choke artist" has lost 5 in 15 years. Does this mean that in 20 years people will be using the playoffs to hold Peyton over some future GOAT caliber QB?

18-8 In the Playoffs More wins than Manning & Rodgers, COMBINED.
