SINY!!
Even his own former manager Tony La Russa said he wouldnt give ANY player more then a 5 year contract especially a player on the other side of 30.

It was bound to happen though. Pujols has had multiple elbow surgeries, the broken hand (correct me if I am wrong on that).....these things do have a snowball effect. For last few years with the Cardinals he was having minor procedures done every off-season.

nah, he'll come back around, I think he's traditionally a little slow of a starter but he's always dependable. Josh, on the other hand, usually burns out after the all star game, and he's already down for the count this year :to:

Obviously he's not the same player he was. Age catches up to everybody. Probably won't ever hit .320 again. But flabby and sick though? Nah, more like he has some foot problems he's currently playing through.

He struggled last April with the pressure from that contract but after that he hit .300 with 30 HR and 100 RBI in 5 months. Still a great player.

He's been in the league for 13 years so you had to expect a decline sooner than later. But that doesn't take away the fact that he is one of the greatest hitters the game has ever seen.

You mean just like last year, when he started off slow and still ended up with 30 homers, 105 RBIs and a .285 average? Are we really just gon' keep making this thread every year in May when we know the baseball season is about 3,000 games long?

Are y'all even trying anymore?

Did he not put up damn good numbers after a slow start last season?
