Ha, I know that feel. I just started doing them and thought my form/technique was pretty good in the 135-165 range, failed horribly at 185. My elbows are all over the place from the jump to the catch.

Nobody in my gym does them except for a few crossfit dudes with potato form.

Just my random guess, but you're prob gonna have to be able to atg front squat 350ish or just be ridiculously strong or be ridiculously efficient.

Wanna learn this shyt too.

Found something that kinda inspires me brehs  Vardanyan gotta be the GOAT. Won the gold medal at 1980 olympics, but his lifts would have earned him the gold in the two weight classes above his, and bronze in the next. Crazy. Here's a vid of his personal record set that nobody since has been anywhere near.

Look at how this crazy Armenian C&Js, 5:50. No real set up, he picks up the damn bar off the ground and cleans :wtf: 493 lbs at 180 bw.

Takes a TON of practice.

Alot of reading, or a coach.

And you need bumpers, because dropping the weights is just part of the game.

Wrist, triceps, and lats need to be pretty flexible to achieve the "rack" position.

Generally speaking, one should be able to clean a weight they front squat for 5 reps(with a clean grip) pretty easily, 3 reps with good technique, and anything less than that and you have awesome technique.
