Been vegan for years. Having a plant based diet has gotten a bed rep especially when it comes to protein, there are plenty of supplements that you can take if you feel you're in need of more protein.
One thing that I do stress to new folks is that they remember - just cuz it's vegan, doesn't make it healthy or good for you. Carbs, gluten & sugar are all still the same.

Check out Meat Is For P*ssi*s & John Joseph's videos and interviews

Good luck to you breh & blessings to you for listening to your body & considering making a change.

Did you feel better tho?

Honestly though, even if I never actually become one just seeing how people can live without eating meat makes me feel like a barbarian in comparison

I was a vegan for 9 months this year...slipped up a little because of a friend's wedding and been back on it since Middle of September

I had more energy which allowed me to work out twice a day instead of just once which led me to losing about 30 lbs (195 to a lean 165)

I felt good knowing I wasn't directly impacting another "being's" life in a negative way

I saved money not eating fast food and impulse buys

Skin cleared up a little (was never bad, but it definitely improved)

Stamina game in the bedroom is :whew:

I feel like my "taste palette" has improved. I can taste more flavors/spices (I think :francis:)

Always having to search the menu for food if I'm out with friends (sometimes settling for a salad and fries :snoop:)

I've lost SOME muscle tone even though I'm getting just about the same amount of protein

People assume you're on some :gay: because you're a vegan...

I'll tell you what I would tell anyone... try it out and if it works for you then :salute: if not then that's ok too.

Breh, you ain't lying about the stamina in the bedroom I feel like I'm in God tier status.

Also, you right about having to search around the menu for the right dishes.

I been lucky lately in my area there are a lot of ethnic restaurants that have good vegetarian meals i.e. Arabic, Mediterranean, Indian, Japanese, etc.

A nygga stroke has been :banderas: this year lol...no more "I'm too full" once it's time to get it in :mjlol:

In SD we got some great Thai food, Indian Food :ohlawd: Ethiopian food, and "Native Foods" which is like American food (hamburgers, chicken, etc.) all delicious vegan food.
I miss some things but overall I could see this being a staple in my life moving forward...maybe not strict 100% forever but definitely a large portion of my food will be vegan.

What interests you about it?
1. I think if you can easily live a healthy life without killing other creatures you should at least attempt it. Like I said it just seems completely barbaric to eat animals to satisfy your appetite simply because they taste good when it isn't the most fulfilling option or the best from a nutrition standpoint. So from that perspective it seems like vegans are on to something
2. While meat tastes good the way the animals are killed, cared for and distributed seems off putting to me. Lately it hasn't even felt as satisfying to eat as it used to. I almost feel a lost inenergy now. Its almost like the feeling you get after getting off to porn. I can't even explain it properly .
3. I have been looking more into dr. Sebi's philosophy on what people should eat and a lot of it makes sense to me. In addition to that my family has a bad history with diabetes, disease, and other health complications so I would like to set up healthy habits now
4. Lately the idea of growing my own food has been really appealing to me.
