I'll say that the DMV and Baltimore nikkas are culturally northeast. I do get some southern flow from them but the flow is not too southern compare to the NC and below bama nikkas. Like the northeast nikkas, they see themselves light yeeaars ahead of the south nikkas.Also The DMV is part of the Mid Atlantic region ( DE PA NJ NY and>>WV??).. So they're kinda separated from the south in its own way although they're still under the mason dixon line..

Bmore is complicated tbh. Certain parts of the baltimore area are similar to PG. Middle class black families with bad chicks are in areas like Owings mills, Randallstown, gwynn oak, woodlawn, infact you only see middle class black families.

Unlike east side of bmore county where you see alot of dusty black and white people.

City wise west baltimore has more black people than east side. Better looking girls too.

LOL at both of these places being middle class have you been there recently. Section 8 turned baltimore county out.

I think for African Americans on the East Coast, there's a continuum of accents from south to north. Which makes sense since the African Americans living in the northeast are only about a generation or two removed from Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, yet I've been told I sound "southern" by West Indians and Latinos

Very chill areas, fine shortys, better have money or section 8 if you want to live out there tho. I only go up there to visit my sister, and lots of things to do and places to eat. Columbia mall was always the goto mall back when I was in high school.

DC and VA is traditionally is the South only new age weirdos align it with the North East.No self respecting DC resident would put themselves in the same category as NYC .

The new youngins that call DC the Northeast are just comedy to me, I see them as the same weirdos rocking mohawks,leopard print pants, tight jean pants,and popping pills,all part of the new age weirdo wave, but the legit ratchet era DC is the South ,Baltimore maybe considered North East.VA is of course the South and we talking about hood ties ,not what pertains to the Mason Dixon Line.

And just because DC is urban culturally doesn't mean its Northeast, cities like Chicago ,Detroit,Cleveland,and even Miami have an urban atmosphere.

Baltimore is culturally northeast. DC and DMV in general is in this weird apex of northeast hustle and bustle, but southern homeliness...the draw and the slang is reminiscent of the south, but it's distinct and feels unique.

Thats the point the hood culture and slang, the hustle and bustle is irrelevant since thats a product of every city,even a Southern one like HTown or ATL.

DC and Baltimore are the southern piece of the Northeast Corridor. Even if they have a few southern cultural elements, in 2017 they are both still the Northeast/East Coast.
