Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
This isn't the reason it's because bg freezes up and cannot be relied on late in games because he has no offensive skill or post game and gets indecisive and becomes scared out his mind in crunch time. Then when you factor in jj redikk and crawford have historically been unreliable or flat out awful in the playoffs and dj is one dimensional and a liability because he can't hit ft's + the clippers have had weak benches for years it leaves no one but cp3 to rely on and he comes thru or he doesn't.He's made 2 game winning shots in the playoffs being defended by tony allen and danny green with tim duncan helping the last 4 years. The utah series vs the #1 scoring defense in the nba cp3 averaged more ppg than anyone on either team. The one game he was off clippers got washed ,their roster is flawed :yeshrug:

Now cp3 is an old school pg and that is falling by the wayside in today's game but what have lillard, westbrook, rose and the rest of these overrated sg's playing point won? Kyrie couldn't even make the playoffs before lebron got there.

Griffin is not used to his maximum potential, him freezing up has more to do with being used as solely a finisher than it does the limitations of his game. Again, we saw what he can look like offensively when Paul is out, and he goes on huge tears, it has happened over and over again where Griffin looked better playing with Darren Collison than he ever looks with Paul. He is a playmaking PF that has been reduced to being simply a finisher, a dude that had to expand his game to shooting mid-range jumpers & threes to accommodate CP3. That's nothing but excuses for Paul, what about his choke vs the Thunder in game 5? Blake showed up for that series, and CP3 let them down, he got abused by an overrated SG like Westbrook. Blake has choked no doubt, but he was younger and since then he's played well, maybe if he was allowed to play his game he'd look better, but we know that's not going to happen as long as number 3 is his teammate.

Kyrie was on an upward trajectory before LeBron got there, you make it sound like he had been in the league for a decade, he was going into his 4th year when LeBron returned. I have no doubt in my mind a Kyrie/Blake pairing would be more successful because that is exactly the type of player Blake grew up playing with, and it's exactly the type of player his game is built to fit with. Seriously, what is the explanation for Blake playing better with Collison?

At the end of the day it's not even about winning, in the sense that if the Clippers win - folk would naturally believe CP3 must be doing something right, when that's not always the case. It's about putting the team in the best possible position of winning, which CP3 doesn't know how to do. He's too stuck in his ways and is incapable of breaking his shell and playing outside of it. He's no longer a player who can lead a team, not only because of his age, but because of his style of play. And he has been at this point for some time, it's just taken the majority a little longer to see it. I've been trying to tell folk this shyt for years now, but they'd rather stick their fingers in their ears and believe their own story of how it is.

:manny:

What's so confounding is that he has it sometimes. I mean, he had that stretch in the 3rd quarter with like 7 straight points... yet those accounted for more than half of his total scoring output :gucci:

This would make sense if he didn't have the ball so much, again, of the guys in the top 10 for touches per game, he's the only one that didn't average over 20ppg, matter of fact those 9 other players averaged 24ppg and 8apg as a group, so what exactly is happening when Chris Paul averages 6 less ppg and 1 more apg than players who have the ball at the same rate as him.

They made it to the second round with him missing most of the first round and then halfway to the CF without him as well. I'm not saying his injury is an example of him not stepping up, but it is an example of other guys stepping up without him. The Warriors without Steph last year were basically as successful as any CP3 team has ever been. Klay most definitely saved the season while Steph and the rest of the squad were looking :hamster: in game 6 at OKC. If it wasn't for Klay having and out of body experience in that game they get ran off the floor.
So really you've only got ONE [wrong] example of "When Steph has had his :francis: moments, he's had guys to step up and carry the load and literally save the season."? Ammirite? I know this board likes to parrot this FALSE talking point about Klay saving the Warriors in Game 6 when Curry was hamster and francis, but in the words of the homie, the truth is this -

Curry had 14 in the 3rd quarter, Klay had 6.
Klay had 19 in the 4th quarter, Curry had 8.

Out of the 60 2nd half points the Warriors scored in game 6, Curry had 22 and Klay had 25.

It just so happens, the Thunder's offense faded/GS' defense picked up in the 4th quarter when Klay got hot..............When Curry dropped 14 in the 3rd, OKC was still scoring (in fact they outscored them in the 3rd by 3 despite Curry's scoring outburst).

In all honesty, they did it together. It just so happened the defense showed up when Klay was hot
. I remember thinking OKC might have weathered Curry's scoring outburst in the 3rd and they might really win this based on how many rebounds they were grabbing
.

@Darealtwo1 @thatknickfan @DIMES @inndaskKy @Weaver31 y'all can get this too.

Doesn't matter. He is who he is. Always has been. Could he and should he score more, absolutely. But it's not all on him, it's still 7-8 other guys and coaching involved and other teams and matchups that come into play.
People have been brainwashed to think the best player is always supposed to win a series when it doesn't work like that.
Better team wins in a 7 game series more times than not.

It does matter, especially when some of those series were decided by 2 points or less, you cannot dominate the ball like him and be a sometimes scorer. If you're going to have the ball as much as he has it you better be capable of putting 40 or more on another team in the playoffs, because what happens in the playoffs is teams will lock in on other players while he's out there burning clock. And he laid an egg yesterday, lets not act like he didn't flat out choke, 6-19 and 13pts? Please.

If two players have the ball the same amount of time, and Player A averages 26/7, and player B averages 18/9 it stands to reason that maybe player B shouldn't have the ball that much, right?

Nope he shouldn't but who's he gonna give it to? Like I said it's not all on him it's not all on the team. It's many factors that go into wins and losses and putting it all on one player is never the answer.

Well you asked for an example :manny:. Steph picked it up towards the end but that game is over in the 3rd if it wasn't for Klay. Everytime OKC tried to pull away Klay pulled a NBA Jam 3 out of his ass, I believe Steph was on the bench during this stretch but I could be wrong. There is also game 1 of the 2015 Finals where the bench saved the day as the starters were not looking ready for primetime early on. They picked it up late, but without the bench (and lack thereof for CLE) that lead is likely insurmountable and they could've easily been down 3-0 in that series. There have been other instances where he was :hamster: and other guys stepped up and tried to save the day and it still wasn't enough (games 5 and 7 of the 2016 Finals) but that didn't fit the criteria, despite the fact it fits the point I was making. I'm not shytting on Steph, great teams have multiple people that you can count on when shyt gets hot. My point is that CP3 has never been in this situation (and yes he's been the one that didn't step up or fukked up when it got hot in some instances).

:gucci:

What kind of silly ass reasoning is this? If Curry didn't score 14 points in the 3rd quarter (Klay only had 6 poiints), couldn't you say the exact same thing of it being over if it wasn't for Curry's contribution in that quarter? The fact remains, Curry stepped up in the 3rd quarter and Klay did in the 4th. It was a combined effort from both of them to carry the bulk of the scoring load in that second half. Curry was not francis or hamster in that game like you're stating.. You're just parroting a coli fictional talking point created to slander Curry.

You're making it sound like bg is being turned into kevin love/chris bosh when he's not.His usage rate and fga's are the same he still play makes he averaged 5 assists per game the last 3 seasons. As his athleticism has declined some he seems content shooting mid range j's he was still doing that this season when cp3 was out with the thumb injury ,and dj and bg clutter up the middle which is why he relies on his jumpers more now, his range has expanded which helps the clippers more than watching him corkscrew his way in the post.If cp3 had kd/pg/melo/jimmy with dj instead of bg clippers woulda been got to the wcf.

Cp3 averaged 22.5 and 12 that okc series he fukked up at the end of game 5 but he showed up that series.bg averaged 13 and 6 vs the grizzlies and let zbo herb him and intimidate him then got injured in game 5 and gets let off the hook as usual.

Neither are going anywhere this summer so :manny: we'll just agree to disagree

Your missing the point. He doesn't turn over the ball ever.
