It's crazy. I grew up in Detroit and my high school was like 97% black, it's one of the most segregated cities in the country but you don't really realize that when you've always lived there. I had pretty much thought everywhere was just as segregated.
When I went off to college it was like "Black people and white people in the same neighborhood?

eh, white people have slowly been creeping back in especially with our sports teams and stuff...in about 5 years, more white people will own shyt downtown then now
plus the "fear" they had of blacks from the riots is slowly creeping out...and the population as a whole has shrunk. thousands of blacks have left the cityand white people are appearing more and more

Graduated from Wayne State (Midtown area of Detroit). School was diverse as fukk. Was about 60% white, 30% black and 10% of other nationalities. Probably the only place in Detroit (not counting Ford Field and Joe Louis Arena) where you had numerous whites in the city in one area.

I used to live N of 8 mile, there was a Black population then (smaller) but there are many now, my fam still live in the warren, roseville, eastpointe, madison heights area. And like someone mentioned, Southfield, where I also have fam, has always had plenty of Black people.

Me and my cuz were getting at some Chaldean hoes in Sterling Heights. Went to Starbucks and Bowling.
You'd think Michael Jordan was the Mayor of Sterling Heights.
Once my Grandma got enough money they moved the fvck outta hamtramck and moved too Warren ... not many black folks there either.
I'd move to Michigan, Detroit-Metro one of my fav places to go ... theres no jobs there except some casinos.
