So basically you need a dejuonte murray?
Dejounte ,Lonzo,Luka,Cade,Lamelo,Giddey,Haliburton

guys like that would allow Mitch to crossmatch/guard 1s on defense because they’re handling the play making load as the lead guard

For example Jokic being the main playmaker allows (allowed) Jamal Murray to guard the 1 on defense ..if mitch was there his bad defense would be limited to an extent because hes better dealing with 1s than having to match up with a wing just off the fact he wouldn’t be at a physical disadvantage every night . But like I said everyone wants a jumbo playmaker so you’re gonna have to fight the whole damn league

We will see this season. Before the horrible playoffs this year, he has done a good job in playoffs individually for the most part. Regular season he usually struggles the 1st half and then picks it up. I would say Rudy was a much more impactful player for their RS success. The team fell apart whenever he would be out.

One poor playoff round and now players like Lamelo, Murray, Derozan and Beal are better than him :mjlol:

Dude was the offensive engine of one of the best offenses in the league. The Jazz have consistently been one of the best regular season teams since his arrival and he's performed well in the playoffs for the most part. He wasn't more impactful than Rudy and his defense is obviously shaky but he's a legitimate offensive force.

Beal and Mitchell are more similar than people realize and Washington would be in the exact situation now with Mitchell on the roster instead of Beal and even you know that. Derozan balled out this year and had all NBA year. This year he was better than Mitchell. Long term people would pick Mitchell,

The Hornets would rather have Melo than Mitchell long term and Murray with Denver as well. The league is chalked full of guys that can get you buckets especially with how the game is tailoring towards the offense. It’s why what Mitchell and a lot of guys are doing offensIvely isn’t that special.

It’s why I laugh at the current NBA as a lot of guys point to their numbers as to why they are superstars.

Beal is approaching 30 and hasn't reached the playoff heights that Mitchell has in his early 20s, Murray is coming off a severe injury, is a limited playmaker and has never been the caliber of scorer that Mitchell is, and Lamelo is a horrible defender and several tiers below as a scorer. Really no argument that any of these guys are better than Mitchell is right now.. Especially Melo and Murray.

Mitchell is the anchor of one of the best offenses in the league, how is that not special? :mjlol: The guys above are worse offensive players and are also flawed defensively. What do they do that is more impressive than what Mitchell has done in his first five seasons?

A lot of Utah's success was because of Gobert, Snyder and the fact that they benefitted from the take foul rule more than any other team over the past few years. We've seen what that team looked like with Mitchell running the show and Gobert out and it wasn't pretty at all. Beal has never had a defensive impact type player like Gobert on the roster to help clean up him and his teammates defensive deficiencies.

Mitchell putting up offensive numbers isn't impressive as everyone in the league can point to their numbers as they are doing the exact same thing and doing it at a greater clip. Hell, it's why I've cracked jokes on this site many times about how Beal points to his numbers to his greatness.

I doubt it . He better than Trae & Klay thats what I do know. Probably Paul George too. Playing against LeBron gave PG undeserved elite status
